A FEAST OF THE LORD
THE DAY OF PENTECOST IS FULLY COME

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from Eastern Gate Ministries International publishers of The Three Minute Word. God is so good. Yesterday at sundown (6 pm) was the start of the Feast of the Lord called Pentecost. A phrase the Lord gave me as I sat down to write this morning is “the Day of Pentecost continues to be fully come”. The word ‘Pentecost’ has to do with the number fifty. The Feast of Pentecost is the fourth of the four spring feasts of the Lord. This Feast is fifty days after the Feast of First fruits or seven weeks after the 16th of Nisan which is the second day of Passover or Unleavened Bread. This Feast of the Lord is also called the Feast of Weeks being seven (spiritual completion) weeks counting from the 17th of Nisan (day Jesus was resurrected from the dead – a day of victory [#17]). Let’s read the Lord’s command concerning this Feast.
Leviticus 23:15-21 (KJV)
15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
Since it is a command of the Lord to celebrate or commemorate this Feast forever (verse twenty-one), why is that not happening? The first Pentecost was when Moses ascended Mount Sinai and received the Law, including the Ten Commandments, directly from God. It was at this time Moses was shown the pattern of the Tabernacle. This first Pentecost was fifty days after the departing of a mixed multitude (Hebrews and non-Hebrews) from Egypt. The Law was designed identify sin and to show the need for Christ (Galatians 3:24). We have been redeemed from “the curse of the law” not the law. We live in submission to Grace (under grace) Who enables us to do all the law just as Jesus obeyed all the law. Transgression of the law (commandments of God) is sin (1 John 3:4). The coming of Christ (Messiah) was essential for the restoration of all things including the bringing of the Blessing (Holy Spirit) back into the earth for all persons who would follow the only true and living God (declare Jesus as Lord and Savior). As an aside let me point out that many have declared Jesus as Savior but very few have made Him Lord. Romans the tenth chapter clearly tells us Jesus is to be both Savior (rescue from destruction [hell]) and Lord (the One of supreme authority in our lives). This is important because Jesus as Savior will take us to Heaven but it will be a miserable ride getting there if He is not Lord.
When we see or hear a reference to the number fifty there are three things that should enter our thinking immediately. One of course is this Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). The other is that fifty is the number of Jubilee. Third the number fifty is a number of The Holy Spirit. Let’s take a moment to look at the idea of jubilee and I think we will all understand how this all fits together.
Leviticus 25:8-13 (KJV)
8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
12 For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
13 In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
Certainly, the sacrifice of Jesus (our Passover and the Unleavened Bread [sinless bread of life]) and the Resurrection of Jesus (First Fruits) with the return of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost) set each person who chooses to believe at liberty, returned our possessions the devil stole by deception, and returned us to the family of God. Thank you, Lord, for taking my sin and giving me your righteousness! Thank you, Lord, for the return of the Blessing, the empowerment to live a sinless life, and do all the things Jesus did and even the greater things. The Holy Spirit was the One who led and empowered (Power of God) Jesus and now us. O thank you, thank you, thank you Jesus, thank you Father, thank you Holy Spirit of God.
Lord willing, tomorrow I will pick up with our study of the Bible Book of John.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
