BEAR FRUIT
Thursday – February 27, 2020, Adar 2, 5780
Greetings to all our precious friends and partners, sons and daughters of the Most High God. Welcome back to this illuminating and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. Of course, it is only illuminating and empowering if we choose to hear, see, and implement these Anointed Words into our thoughts, words, and ways. Our God is so good and He is nothing but good! Now let’s prepare to dive into our lesson by first reading aloud our primary Bible text.
John 15:3-6 (KJV)
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Our primary Bible text starts by telling us that the Word of God will, if we allow, purge or remove, the dead and useless parts of our lives. It does this by displacing wrong thoughts, words, and ways. Now, this does not just happen, it is purposeful on our part.
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Most of us, by the time we were saved, had lots of training by the world (devils) as to how to think, speak, and do. Unfortunately, the Church many times does not teach or see the connection between our thoughts, words, ways and the content of our lives. Death and life are in our (not God’s) tongue. Thinking the ways of the world is death but a mind full of the Truth (spiritually minded) is life and peace.
Romans 8:6 (KJV)
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Do you know which vine you are abiding in? Do you know what fruit you are bearing? Godly fruit is that which is beneficial to us, our neighbor, and the Kingdom of God. Whether our fruit is devilish or righteous depends on the thoughts of our heart.
Matthew 12:35 (KJV)
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Our fruits and our works are the same thing. Meditate on the following passage and don’t be too quick to say verses 19, 20, and 21 don’t apply to me. Let’s each one of us ask the Lord what applies to us.
Galatians 5:19-23 (KJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Notice that verse nineteen starts with “Now the works of the flesh” and verse twenty-two with “But the fruit of the spirit”. Works have to do with the expenditure of energy as well as producing something the Bible calls fruit be it good or evil. Lord willing, I will pick up this study right here next Monday.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
