ADAM AND EVE
Greetings and welcome back to our Bible Study from the wonderful Bible Book of Hebrews presented by Dr. Wood and The Three Minute Word publications. God is so good. I hope you enjoyed seeing Adam and Eve. Some years ago, we had these two buffalo on our ranch in Texas. Like many things in life it was good and fun in its season.
Now, let’s refresh our memory and ourselves by reviewing our primary text in the Book of Hebrews. Then we will move into our secondary text located in the Book of Mark. The Mark text is similar to the Hebrews text however it is a little more specific. The Words in Mark are from the mouth of Jesus just before He ascends into Heaven taking His place at the right hand of Majesty on high.
Hebrews 2:4 (KJV)
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
One thing that I want to point out here is that as it relates to time we have moved from the Garden to the Throne. All the things mentioned in verse four can certainly be found in the Old Covenant but restricted to the hands of a very few. Now in the New Covenant context these things are available to all and all are expected to have God bearing witness in their lives. The preceding verse indicates we have moved into a time period when salvation has come which is following the Cross to this very day.

3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Verse three goes on to tell us that we have moved to a new era by saying this salvation was (past tense) spoken of by our Lord and by those who heard Him first hand. Now let’s move to our secondary text in Mark. In case you are thinking you can skip this because it has nothing to do with you guess again.
Mark 16:15-20 (KJV)
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
The person speaking here is Jesus, God restored to the Throne of Heaven, to the right hand of Majesty on high and He is speaking to the disciples gathered there and to us the disciples who followed. A disciple is not always to be below the one doing the discipling (the master) but are to become as the master. If the disciple could never reach the level of the master it would not be long and all you would have is idiots (totally incompetent persons). In our case we can never fully be like Jesus in that He is God however we can function in every aspect like Him from our position in Him according to the will of God. It is all by faith (believing God nothing wavering) in love (exact obedience) led of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus, the Head of the Church, starts by telling us to go into all the world. As I have mentioned before the world and the earth are not synonymous terms. The earth is this physical globe whereas the world is the systems that adorn the earth. I have spoken in times past of the seven pillars of the world (and Kingdom of God) systems. These pillars are present in the Kingdom of God (including Heaven) but have become corrupt by the influence of sin. These seven pillars include the religion, government, education and science, arts and entertainment, business and finance, family, and media and information systems.
Each of us have assignments in one or more of these pillars, generally at least two and probably three. The command to go into all the world I believe would include all the world systems or pillars. The world and the Kingdom of God for the most part are opposites being very distinct from each other. The world, the kingdom of Satan, is a cursed perverted mirror image of what God created, Satan has no creative power and no new ideas, he must work with what is already there.
Jesus is speaking to a group of persons at Bethany before His ascension and saying that they as a group or we might say the Church is to go into all the world. The world has ideas that are perversions of God’s ideas and this perversion (corruption) brings stealing, killing, and destroying into people’s lives. When we allow and even encourage these same ideas we get the same result sometimes worse for judgment starts at the house of God. What I am getting at is that this is not a command for each of us individually to go into all the world. A s each of us do own unique assignments the Church as a whole will have gone into all the world. The purpose of you and me going into our assigned part of the world is to make the good news known, and that good news will be accompanied by signs and wonders. That good news my brother and sister is that the Kingdom of God is back in the earth and a great salvation is now available to all. Glory to God! Our primary text says that God will bear witness of this good news through us. Am I a witness, are you a witness? I am not talking about passing out Roman Road Tracts, I am talking about our lives being a demonstration project of the good news, of Jesus, with God bearing witness.
