AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

EVEN MORE GLORY
Greetings to all of the dear friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to this in depth, engaging, and life changing (if received) Bible Study of the Book of John. God is so good precious saints. Please take a moment and share this teaching to broaden the reach of this Ministry, and the Truth. The beautiful featured picture today of a park in Pittsfield, Maine was taken by our friend, Joe Getchell Jr. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:1-3 (KJV)
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Our current study is of a time period immediately before the Cross and all that followed to make the work of Christ Jesus complete for us. Remember, He did not need a Savior, however, we desperately needed a Savior. We are dealing with the word ‘glorify’ which we find in verse one of our primary text. Moses asked to see the glory of God and God told him He would show him His goodness (Exodus 33:17-19). Of course, Moses had by this time witnessed much of the goodness (glory) of God. Then, in effect, God the Father tells Moses, I am going to show you my ultimate goodness.
Exodus 33:21-22 (KJV)
21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
The rock upon which we stand is Jesus, the Word, we stand upon the Word of God. We are hidden in Christ Jesus. And, we are covered by the Hand of God, the Anointing, the Holy Spirit. Oh, what a wonderful picture. This is a joyous picture of what was to come, a prophetic acting out or demonstration. Now, as Jesus looks to Heaven the time is come for this to be a reality. I think with the background or foundation the Holy Spirit has led me to fashion what Jesus is saying to the Father is much clearer to us.
The Son shows off the goodness of the Father and the goodness of the Father is shown in the son. Jesus is the sinless sacrifice, the precious payment for sin, redemption from the curse, providing a way back into the family of God, and the return of eternal life. Jesus was the lamb slain from before the foundation of the world.
Revelation 13:8 (KJV)
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Bold added)
The root word for ‘foundation’ above means the throwing down. When Lucifer was cast into the earth as the Serpent, we find the situation of Genesis 1:2. This was a time of chaos. Then a new creation began, this present creation, but not final creation. The decision for the Word (Jesus) to be the Lamb of God should this new man sin was made before the actual creation of this reality. The glory, the goodness of the Son (Jesus) is shown in His obedience, His love of the Father, and willingness to be sacrificed for you and me (selflessness). This was all established with mankind in the Blood Covenant of Genesis fifteen (number of Gods’ rest or provision) and sealed by Abraham and Isaac upon Mount Moriah (Genesis 22). Just as Isaac was willing to be a sacrifice for God, Jesus was willing to be a sacrifice for mankind. Just as Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac for God so was God (the Father) willing to sacrifice Jesus for mankind. If one looks at the meaning of ‘glorify’ in the Strong’s Concordance you would find the words magnify and honor. Jesus was certainly magnified at Calvary and the Resurrection becoming the way, the Truth, and the Resurrection, the only way to the Father. He was honored by being restored as God, made the head of the body, and being seated on the right hand of the Father.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
