THE GLORY
Greetings to all of the dear friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. God is so good precious saints. Please take a moment and share this teaching to broaden the reach of this Ministry, and the Truth. The featured picture today was taken by a great friend, a good man, in Texas whom I had the privilege of associating with for many years. What a beautiful picture featuring a longhorn and a donkey (Jenny). When I had a ranch in Texas and acquired cattle, I was told that the donkeys would protect the cattle, particularly the calves, from cayotes and dogs. To be honest, I’m not sure about that, I think the donkeys protect the donkey’s, protection of the cattle is a collateral benefit not a primary benefit. In any event, thank you Randy for this beautiful picture.
With the advent of the novel Coronavirus the Federal and State governments across America took various actions to protect the public. Among those actions was the limiting the size of groups that were allowed to gather including Churches. Some Pastors never closed their Churches, others closed but reopened in violation of the law (yes, it has the force of law), and others have fully obeyed the law. Only this third group is blameless before God. I have previously articulated the Scriptures which were violated. Violation of Scripture is otherwise known as sin. Many willingly followed their pastors. Some may have not believed what was happening was right but at the same time wanted to support their Pastor. It is a serious issue to go against Scripture (God) to follow a man, it is choosing another god, it is idolatry, and a choosing to participate in their (Pastors or other leader) sin.
2 John 1:10-11 (KJV)
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (Bold added)
Come on children of God, repent, turn from your wicked ways, and open the door for God to heal the land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:1-3 (KJV)
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
When I left off yesterday, I was starting to deal with the word, the idea of ‘glorify’. You will recall that the glory of God is the visible goodness of God. The producer of the glory is God, specifically the Holy Spirit. The manifested fruit of the Holy Spirit are all good things. For example, God the Holy Spirit led the children of Israel in the wilderness with a fire by night and a cloud by day. These manifestations were of the Holy Spirit and they were good, for they gave shade in the day and light with heat in the night. When someone is healed by the Power (Glory) of God that is good and glorifies God, shows the goodness of God. We see over and over in the New Testament that when people were healed, they and those present glorified (attributed all goodness) to God. Let’s briefly review the Exodus Scripture from yesterday.
Exodus 33:17-19 (KJV)
17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
What is the pinnacle or apex of the goodness or glory of God? Let’s closely examine the following passage to learn more.
Exodus 33:21-22 (KJV)
21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
The Father said I am going to give you a rock to stand upon and to be hidden within and in addition I will cover you with my hand. Wow, right here we have a revelation of Christ Jesus and the coming Holy Spirit. This is the ultimate goodness of God, the apex, the pinnacle! Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
