FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK EIGHTY-THREE
SON – AMBASSADOR – HEIR – PART FIVE

Greetings dear and precious sons, ambassadors, and joint-heirs and welcome back to these teachings From the Prophets Chamber. Today will be part five in this engaging and encouraging study of at least a part of who we are in Christ. Before moving forward into the teaching please take a few minutes and share this teaching as widely as possible using every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. You have a very important role in disseminating the good news and widening the reach of this Ministry. God bless you richly. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text reading out loud.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
I left off last week continuing to speak about the word ‘new’ in verse seventeen above (seventeen the number of victory), particularly in the context of a new creature in Christ. I will now be moving forward with the word ‘creature’ after a little more review. The word ‘new’ in the context we are discussing is describing something or a condition that has never existed before. That is a mouthful when you consider that God has always existed and has always been a creator. Now let’s move forward to our remaining primary text declaring us, this “new creature” as “joint-heirs with Christ”. A joint heir is a participant in common.
Romans 8:17 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Now let’s look at the following passage (left off here last week) and just rejoice. This is part of the new thing.
Ephesians 2:5-7 (KJV)
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
When we were in sin, sinners, heathens, pagans, and we declared Jesus as Lord and Savior our spirit man was not just quickened or made alive but we underwent a resurrection (just like Jesus) spirit and body (we are awaiting the manifestation of the resurrection our body [Romans 8:23]). Oh, what a day! I don’t know about you but my physical body could use a serious upgrade. With the sacrifice, victory in Hell, and the Resurrection our spirit and body were purchased by God, our soul (mind, will, and emotions were not).
1 Corinthians 6:20 (KJV)
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Now I want to repeat a part of last week’s teaching for this is hard to comprehend or digest for some. On the Cross Jesus’ spirit man died first then His body just like Adam in the Garden. Jesus was dead in sin (ours not His own) and so are we before salvation dead in sin. The Ephesians two passage above tells us that He was quickened or made alive and so were we in Him. The substitution idea infers that we are a different person not one who was dead to God who is now alive to God. The Spirit (not the soul) of Jesus died (wages of sin is death, He was made sin) on the Cross. That Spirit has existed been Him from eternity past. The Spirit I am talking about is of the Second Person of the Triune God, the Word, the Lord of Hosts. At His quickening, Resurrection, He (Jesus) did not become a different person and neither are we by way of a whole new Spirit but that which was dead was made alive. The same is true for us. The spirit (dead or alive) and soul we got at conception is ours for eternity.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Saturday. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
