HEALTH, HEALING, AND MIRACLES – PART EIGHTEEN
Sunday – July 8, 2018, Tamuz 25, 5778

Thank you, Jesus, for each and every reader that reads and receives all of your Words, the gospel of the Kingdom. Part of the good news is that good health is ours, healing is ours, and miracles are ours. We can say goodbye to bad health, sickness and disease, as well as any other name under the curse in the name of Jesus. By way of reminder we have an obligation under the Blood Covenant to maintain good health. When we made Jesus our Lord and entered this Blood Covenant all of the obligations of the Covenant were ours as well as the benefits. The Word of God is medicine to all of our being, spirit, soul, and body.
Proverbs 4:20-23 (KJV)
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
I think the message here is pretty clear, we may or may not want to obey, but the message is clear. The word “life” in verses twenty-two and twenty-three is plural in number meaning that the Word of God is life to our spirit man, our soul (heart), and our bodies. Nowhere does it say that other words, other than the Word of God, have any beneficial effect on us in any way. Well, let’s dive back into the life and ministry of Christ Jesus to build our faith and get the playbook for our lives and ministry. Yes, we are all in ministry.
Matthew 12:22-23 (KJV)
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
Recall, that the pattern that Jesus followed throughout His ministry was to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom and after the people heard they were healed, and set-free of all sorts of devils, and infirmities.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith does not come by any other means. Somehow, somewhere, the peoples must hear, they must believe what they hear, and they must act upon that belief or faith. In the Matthew Scripture above they brought a man to Jesus who could neither see or speak and was possessed of a devil. Jesus healed the man. This was spiritual and physical healing. Something in this mans life had happened by his own choice that gave the devil entrance and with it came the blindness and inability to speak. All of these things are first spiritual and then physical. All of the curse present after the age of understanding that is in any of our lives came through a door we opened. We most likely opened the door or failed to close it in ignorance and by the deceptions of the devil whether we be saints or sinners (we are never both). Sometimes illness is present at birth and this is the curse unsubdued by our parents, again due to ignorance or the deceptive devices of the devils. Notice in our Scripture that we again see the phrase “son of David”. The phrase “son of David” is a euphemism (synonym) for Messiah.
We are not to be laying hands on people just willy nilly. Jesus didn’t do that and neither must we or we will see massive prayer failures. Jesus saw zero prayer failures for He only did what He saw the Father doing and saying what the Father gave Him to say. The peoples came to Him in faith. The very strongest Anointing (which we all have by the way who are baptized in the Holy Spirit) will not heal a person without faith. People who ask for prayer to see what happens or because it can’t hurt will not be healed. Even in the Book of James the sick person called for the elders (equivalent of coming to them). For example, Jairus called for Jesus to come to his house. As I prepare to close for this week let’s look at another miracle.
Matthew 17:24-27 (KJV)
24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
God has always provided tax money for us but never in this particular way. Jesus made a faith statement led of His Father and Peter needed to have faith as well to do his part. What would we say if in a conversation with our Pastor about taxes he or she gave us the same instruction? This is where the name and claim it thing went into the ditch. People were claiming all sorts of things which were not led of the Holy Spirit, not in faith, and not in love. In another place this is what Jesus had to say about paying taxes, in short pay them, but do not neglect what is due God, which are the tithe and offerings.
Matthew 22:21 (KJV)
21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.
As a side note, Capernaum is where Jesus’ home and headquarters was located as well as the home of Peter. Until our next publication, I speak this Scriptural prayer for your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
3 John 1:2 (HCSB)
2 Dear friend, I pray that you may prosper in every way and be in good health physically just as you are spiritually.
