HOW DID HE DO IT?
Wednesday – January 8, 2020, Tevet 11, 5780

Greetings my precious brothers and sisters and welcome back to this powerful direction changing Study of the Bible Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and increase the reach of these Truths. The featured picture today is of a beautiful sunrise from an aircraft on a recent trip to Tennessee. If our lives don’t read like the ministry of Jesus in the gospels, we need a change of direction which will only come by our resolve to do so. It will involve discovering and doing the Word of God. This will be work, will require diligence, will require displacing many sacred cows in our lives. A sacred cow is a lie, thoughts that are contrary to the Word of God. The Word of God must be our thoughts, our words, and actions. That is not to say that we go around thinking Scripture and speaking verses from the Bible but it does mean that we are diligent to keep our thoughts, words, and actions in line with Scripture.
John 14:21-23 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The title of this study is “How did He do it?”. The “He” here is Jesus. One might respond (hopefully not you), well that was easy, He was operating as God in the earth. That line of thought is as perverted as the idea that God is in control of all things including the details of our lives. The One we now call Jesus, was the Word in eternity past and in the womb of Mary became Jesus (Jehovah saved) having laid aside all that made Him God (capital G). He operated in the world (earth) as a man and departed a God/man after the Resurrection. He was fully God (John 1:1) before the womb of Mary, fully man in the earth (Philippians 2:7-8), and fully God and fully man (glorified) (1 Timothy 2:5) after or concurrent with the Resurrection.
Jesus did what He did in the earth the same way we are to do what He did, by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
As I have pointed out many times in the past this is a command for us to do all the things He (Jesus) did in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and we are to do even greater things. So, how did Jesus do it?
John 8:28-29 (KJV)
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Are we trying to do things ourselves? Are we doing what the Father, what Scripture teaches, are we saying what Scripture says? Are we working in concert with the Holy Spirit like Jesus? Are we seeking to please our Heavenly Father in all things or does it not even enter our thoughts on a daily basis?
John 14:10 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Are we in the Father (we are in Christ Jesus if we are saved)? Are we speaking the Words of the Father or of ourselves? Our words bring natural results and supernatural results of death and the curse. The Word of the Father bring the results of life and the Blessing not just for us but for others expanding the Kingdom of God. So, how did Jesus do what He did? His thoughts, words, and actions were those of the Father. One might be thinking “I can’t do that”. Well that is a surprise to Jesus, He said we could and were commanded to do so (John 14:12). Let’s meditate on this and pick up here tomorrow. The manifestation of God in our lives is directly dependent upon our obtaining His commandments and doing them. This is love.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
