I WANT TO DO MY OWN THING

Greetings dear friends and partners of this ministry and blog. Ladies and gentlemen, God is so very good, He is nothing but good, He is not our problem, more often than not we are the problem. God has not given us poverty in any area of our lives. Poverty is always a spiritual problem, a spiritual shortfall in our thinking. It does not matter whether we are talking financial poverty, or poverty in our health (sickness), or other areas of life. We are rife with wrong thoughts, words, and actions and then we wonder why the curse is running rampant in our lives. We fail to study to rightly divide the Word, to do our own due diligence to learn the Word and implement it into our thoughts, words, and actions. We wait for someone to spoon feed us on Sunday morning or other times and ways. Brother and sister these are not nearly enough and we must for ourselves get our nose into the Bible for serious study. I am not talking about reading a chapter a day, although that is good, I am talking serious study. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of John.
John 14:21-23 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Yes, I am continuing with the theme that our love (agape) of God is manifested by our obedience to the Word. The outcome or fruit of our obedience are the supernatural manifestations of God in our lives. Dear ones there is way too much tradition of men which is devoid of the power of God, and there are many doctrines of devils which do not bring the power of God but bring the curse. What is the predominant manifestation in our lives, the blessing or the curse? If we are saying we love the Lord but we are not seeking out and obeying His Word what does that make us? A liar! Who is the father of lies? Satan! Ignorance is a protection only for a season dear ones. A lack of diligence to push forward into more and more truth is sin. Of course, we are not getting knowledge (Truth) for knowledge sake but to increase our understanding of God, of the Kingdom of God and to please Him. We please Him and demonstrate our love for Him by doing the Word. Love is the power of faith and we cannot please God without faith. We must incorporate all new knowledge of Him, the Word, into our thoughts, words, and actions displacing all thoughts, words, and actions of the world which are contrary. Consider the following.
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We are to put to death our old ways of thinking, talking and doing. Put off the curse and death and put on the blessing and life through obedience to the Word of God. Perhaps the biggest and most destructive lie in the Church is the idea that God is in control. Yes, God has an overarching plan which will be accomplished but we have studied Scripture after Scripture which makes it clear we choose life or death, blessing or cursing. We are not predestined; we can travel either road. For example, in the preceding verse whose responsibility is it not to be conformed to the world? Who had the responsibility to renew their mind?
Ephesians 4:22-23 (KJV)
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
In this preceding verse who has the responsibility to put off the former way of life, thoughts, words, and actions? Who has the responsibility to renew their mind? The Word of God, all words, are spirit. The Words of God are life, the words of the world are death. The Word of God brings the blessing, the words of the world (devils) bring the curse.
Colossians 3:9-10 (KJV)
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
All of the ways, the thoughts, the words, and actions of the world are a lie for they are not the Truth. When we say “God is in control” we are lying. Who is the father of lies? Whose words are we mouthing when we say “God is in control”? I hope we are all getting the right answers. The correct answer to both questions is Satan. As we study to get God’s commands, and do them, He will manifest in our lives. I for one want my life to reflect the Lord Jesus, to reflect the Father, for the goodness of God to be seen. I want to be able to say like Jesus, that if you have seen me you have seen the Father. We should look just like Jesus having and keeping the commandments resulting in the supernatural manifestation of the Father in our lives.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
