I BELIEVE AND HAVE LIFE
Monday – July 22, 2019, Tamuz 19, 5779

Greeting dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful, encouraging, and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. Can you believe it, Monday all over again? If you are reading this on Facebook please take just a moment and hit the “share” and “like” buttons, even tag your friends as the Lord leads you. These studies, and this Ministry focus is primarily aimed at strengthening the body of Christ, which is the body of Anointing in the earth. Another way to say it is that we as individuals and a corporate body have the Anointing who is the Holy Spirit upon and within us and together we constitute the body of God in the earth. Direction comes from the head and is carried out by the body just as in our human bodies. The featured pictures this week with the exception of the Friday edition are from my sweetheart’s birth State, Massachusetts. Now let’s turn our attention to the Bible Study, first reading our primary text from the Book of John aloud.
John 11:25-30 (KJV)
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
Hopefully all readers are aware that we are in the midst of a rather lengthy passage describing the raising of Lazarus from the dead. We have discovered many things along the way and more to come that are useful to our day to day walk with God. For example, we like Jesus must practice and with all due diligence speak only what we hear the Father speak, and do only what we see the Father doing. In addition, we must have absolute faith that having done this, He (the Father) will do the works. He, the Father, by the agency of the Holy Spirit will confirm His Words with signs following.
As it relates to this account of raising Lazarus from the dead Jesus came four days late. When He got the news, He lingered at least four days for the Father via the Holy Spirit had not released Him to go, the situation at the time would have been one of failure but four days later it would be one of victory. God did not allow Lazarus to die to show that through Jesus He could raise the dead, that thinking is wickedness. Our God, our Heavenly Father does not promote suffering of any kind in His children. He commonly allows it according to His laws as we go our own way but He is never the direct cause in the life of the redeemed. He gets no glory (attributed goodness) from our poverty in any area of our spiritual life which manifests in our physical life. Our thought life and the words we speak shape our world, whatever my world right now or yours, we created it. Our present world was not the result of other people or circumstances but our thoughts and words, period. If we want things to change, we must change our thought life and our speech. We are to think upon the Word of God and speak the Word of God in faith. When faith comes in contact with the Anointing there is fire and things change and it is always good.
Jesus is on His way to Bethany, the house of Mary and Martha, and the grave site of Lazarus. Martha has gotten wind of His coming and has gone out to meet Him. Apparently, she was expecting whereas Mary was not. Are we expecting Jesus? You will recall that she blamed the Lord for her brother dying then makes a faith statement.
John 11:21-22 (KJV)
21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
It seems that she has faith for healing and the raising of the dead. She also in the verse following wants to distinguish between the final resurrection and the raising of her brother from the dead. Jesus takes the opportunity to speak to her and to us that He not only makes a resurrection possible but is the reason a resurrection is coming at all. Those in Covenant with God are raised spirit, soul, and body to everlasting life. Jesus is the reason for mankind having access to spiritual, eternal life, life as God knows life, once again.
John 11:25-26 (KJV)
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
I suggest that each of us ask ourselves this same question that Jesus asked Martha that day, do we believe, or do we just say we believe? Let’s be honest for only in that way can we move forward into the extravagant overflowing goodness of God. That overflowing goodness that Martha and Mary are about to experience and even Lazarus.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
