I TOLD YOU BEFORE HAND
Thursday – February 6, 2020, Sh’vat 11, 5780

Greetings my dear friends and partners and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and this intense Bible Study of the Book of John. We pray and ask that you join with us praying that each and every one of these teaching is an Anointed utterance that strengthens and heals each reader who has ears to hear and a heart to receive. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and expand the reach of this ministry. The featured picture (has been featured previously) is of Donna and me at Celebrate Jesus Church of God (was Solid Rock Church of God) in Pittsfield, Maine a few months ago. Now let’s turn our attention intently to our primary Bible reference and read it aloud.
John 14:28-31 (KJV)
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
As we move into verse twenty-nine of our primary Bible text, we find Jesus reminding His disciples that He has again told them what is about to take place. He tells them that the reason He is telling them is so that when it occurs, they will believe. Believing or developing faith is always a choice. We decide, not God, and not the devil, or other people, we decide to have faith (believe) or not. We know as this thing (going to the Cross) plays out that they had no to very little faith. However, when they were born again, they became giants that turned the world on its head. There are many times that Jesus mentions that they are with little to no faith. Let’s take a moment and examine this issue of the disciples not having faith. The question is this, were they fully capable of having faith. One might say, well Abraham had faith and it was crucial to bringing the Seed (the Messiah) into the earth. God made a Blood Covenant with Abraham and that was a foundation for His faith in God. Dear ones we also are in Blood Covenant in Christ Jesus with the Father and can trust, believe, have faith, on that foundation. The Old Testament saints did not have the same level or capacity for faith that we have. Faith is one of the fruit of the spirit and produces supernatural fruit. This is not active until we are quickened by the Holy Spirit at the new birth.
Romans 12:3 (KJV)
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
What we accomplish for the Kingdom with our God given faith is entirely up to us. Will we remain with baby faith or will we develop our faith to do the exploits the Father has planned for us? Will we choose to hear, receive, believe, and do the Word of God uncorrupted by the traditions of men and the doctrines of devils? So, let’s not be too hard on these disciples or any in the Old Testament for they did not have the capacity to have faith as we have the capacity to have faith to move mountains. You and I my friend are without excuse. In Christ Jesus there is nothing that we cannot do with God. Jesus told them what was to occur and it would be recalled later at the promptings of the Holy Spirit and become a part of the Prophetic record. When it is then recited by them and us as an Anointed utterance it builds faith in God (Romans 10:17). Jesus has been speaking to His disciples and others from the beginning that He is going to be killed and will be returning to Heaven. This is prophecy. Prophecy brings the will of God to pass (Amos 3:7). That is, when a Prophet speaks the will of God, the Word of God, into the earth this loses or authorizes God to bring that Word to pass. Remember, man has all authority (delegated from Jesus) in the earth and God has all supernatural power to exercise in the earth when released by the authority of a man. A final word about prophecy, at least for this teaching. Fulfilled prophecy is a surer (“more sure”) word or witness than an eyewitness.
2 Peter 1:16-19 (KJV)
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Lord willing, on Monday I will pick up with our primary text in John finishing chapter fourteen and move into chapter fifteen. Let us together be very sure that we are hearing, receiving, believing, and doing the pure Word of God and not cunningly devised fables otherwise known as the traditions of men and the doctrines of devils.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
