IT IS WRITTEN
Thursday – January 17, 2019, Sh’vat 11, 5779
Today (10 December 2018) at Eastern Gate Ministries International is a beautiful day with lots of sun, but is crisp being 25° F when I snapped this picture. The goat still wants to go to Texas. Many see snow as beautiful and it is but you have to know that snow and being crisp are a wedded pair. Welcome back to this stimulating and faith building Bible Study of the Book of John. Remember when you share it extends the reach of this ministry considerably. Now, let’s delve into today’s teaching by first reading our primary Bible text aloud. God is so good!
John 6:42-47 (KJV)
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Verse forty-five is extremely telling not only for those Jesus is addressing on this particular day but all of us today. Jesus tells us that all persons are taught of God as the Prophets have spoken and it is written. Anyone who choose to hear and learn comes to Jesus. So, there is a freewill aspect exercised by every person to receive the teaching or not. Men particularly not just those of the tribe of Levi Priests and Rabbi’s were trained extensively in the Word of God yet we see over and again they cannot see nor hear Jesus. Consider the following passage. Do we see this in the modern Church as well? Let me give you the exact and short answer so no one has to labor over it, YES!
2 Timothy 3:5-7 (KJV)
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
The Jews of that day had a form of godliness, looked good, might have even felt good, but was idolatry, was devoid of all power for it was not real godliness. We see this in Church today all the time. It sounds good and may even feel good, but there is zero power at work. When the Power of God is not on display, we are participating in a form of godliness not godliness itself. I know, there was a collective gasp, but yep, I said it. A form of godliness is when we are practicing the doctrines of demons and the traditions of men and not the Word of God. The doctrine of demons of course will not bring the Power of God on the scene and neither will man conjured traditions. You might be thinking, “whoa, Dr. Wood is on a rant today”! No, I am troubled in my spirit that we are not walking in the authority given, returned to us, by Jesus at His ascension and the power of that name also given us at salvation. All of this is hampered by a huge malignancy in the body of Christ which is a demonic doctrine known as “God is in control”. This doctrine shifts responsibility from us to God but only in our vain imaginations. God has done all He is going to do, the table is set so to speak, all is ready, all is prepared. It is like in the Garden, we have the authority and the Blessing is awaiting along with the angels for us to speak the Words and will of God into the earth and they will perform it. Nothing is going to happen in the earth which is of God without the voice of a man (or woman).
Amos 3:7 (KJV)
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
I hear people crying out all the time with sincere hearts due to rotten teaching for God to do things that they are fully empowered to do and God is just waiting for the words of our mouth decreeing the thing. You can cry out to God until the cows come home but it will not happen until you issue a command as one of His kings in the earth. In the whole ministry of Jesus, we never see Jesus ask God to do anything, He spoke it into existence in an act of faith. Faith is what ignites the Anointing! The authority is ours, the Power is His. When will we learn of the Father, Holy Spirit, and do the things Jesus did, the way Jesus did them and the greater things?

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
