GIFTS – PART FOUR
THE PRECIOUS TRAIL OF BLOOD – PART FOUR
Sunday – November 10, 2019, Cheshvan 12, 5780

Greetings dear friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to this Sunday series discussing the gifts God has made available to us all. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to expand the reach of this ministry. Now back to the teaching. Everything we have gotten from God and have available from God are gifts, we were and are not worthy in and of ourselves of anything. From the very get go God wanted a family, they turned away from Him, but He has redeemed all who want Him with the highest ransom price ever possible. God again has a family, redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus and we have a Father who is beyond compare. Last Sunday we had reviewed that the precious trail of blood started in the Garden of Eden on the very Day of Sin and Death. We picked up the trail again following the flood of Noah. I then took us to the following passage when God was solidifying His Covenant with Abram. God’s attempts to make a Covenant with Abram that would bring the Messiah into the earth started back in the Ur of the Chaldees when he was a much younger man. Finally, when Abram is about 75, he finally comes into Canaan and we saw the initiation of the process for a Covenant in Genesis 12:1-3. Now Abram is having a major encounter with God (I think most of us have never had anything close to this) at about age 85. Remember Isaac is not born until he is about 100. If you go back and review this fifteenth chapter of Genesis you will find much going on but the essence is the beginning of the most important Covenant ever. There is a shedding of innocent animal blood and God (the Father) makes Covenant with the Word (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit as well as Abram for the Jewish people.
Genesis 15:17-18 (KJV)
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
As you will recall from yesterday, we determined that the smoking furnace is the Holy Spirit and the burning lamp is the Word (we also know as Jesus [Jehovah saved]). The Father is making Covenant with both and it has to be in the earth for that is where the redemption is to take place. Remember the provision for this (the shedding of Jesus Blood for the sins of all mankind) was in place before the foundation of the world (earth and all that adorns it). The Holy Spirit is the eternal Spirit spoken of in the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 9:13-15 (KJV)
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Jesus (the Word) was able to accomplish all with the essential help of the Eternal Spirit who is the Holy Spirit, just as we can accomplish all with the help of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit we would all be mired in sin just as those before Calvary were mired in sin. We have the capacity to choose between being led of our flesh (unrenewed mind) or the spirit. Which are we choosing day in and day out, minute to minute? With the leadership of the Holy Spirit we can walk as Jesus walked doing all He did and the greater things. Back to Abram. Abram has just had a major encounter of the God kind but if you turn to the next chapter, he is in bed with Hagar his wife’s servant and at the suggestion of his wife no less, seems like the Garden of Eden all over again. Wow, where was faith in the Words Abram just heard from God? I’ll tell you, nowhere to be found. Ishmael is the outcome of that encounter the progenitor of Islam, wow, the awful fruit of disobedience. Abram does not hear from God again until he is 99 years old. If you have been through a dry place it may well be due to prior disobedience. When Abram is 99 years of age God again speaks to him, gives him a new name, introduces circumcision, and again promises a male child. Finally, Abram now Abraham develops unwavering faith and sure enough when Abraham is about 100 Isaac the son of promise is born, the process of bringing the Messiah into the earth is set. Let’s look at Abraham’s faith statement.
Genesis 17:17 (KJV)
17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
Remember in the King James Version of the Bible those words in italics were added by the translators for clarity or ease of reading. With that in mind Abraham is not questioning God nor speaking in unbelief but declaring that a son is about to be born. Let’s look at the Young’s Literal Translation for a little more clarity.
Genesis 17:17 (YLT)
17 And Abraham falleth upon his face, and laugheth, and saith in his heart, `To the son of an hundred years is one born? or doth Sarah—daughter of ninety years—bear?’
I will pick up next Sunday Lord willing with the most significant sacrifice ever on this precious trail of blood.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
