LABOR OF LOVE – PART FOUR
Thursday – November 9, 2017

This photo was captured by one of my Game Camera’s on the ranch showing one of the donkeys giving one of the cows a hard time pulling her tail. The donkeys were fun but they are absolutely useless. Now back to our Bible study of the wonderful Book of Hebrews. First, we will review the primary text from Hebrews and then move to the secondary text in First Corinthians. I am focused on our responsibilities in this wonderful Kingdom of God.
Hebrews 6:9-12 (KJV)
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Our labor for the Kingdom of God, our ministry to the saints is to be in love (the same love God has), and our ministry is done in the name of Jesus. Okay, let’s drop our pride and false humility and forge back into this corrective material (if we will).
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Our study brings us to verse six of the secondary text and here we find that we are to not rejoice, to get no satisfaction from the iniquity of another. We also find in this verse the command to rejoice in the truth. When our brother or sister is found in some sin, some immorality, we are not to rejoice in that or have some sort of satisfaction. We are to mourn and intercede for them before the throne and seek their full restoration in the Kingdom.
Jude 1:21-23 (KJV)
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Thank you, Jesus, for the intercessors in each of our lives. The Truth will restore the one who finds themselves ensnared in unrighteousness (iniquity) and in that we rejoice. When we find ourselves ensnared rejoice in the Truth, Jesus is the Truth.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Repentance that does not include Jesus and His precious blood is not repentance and there is no forgiveness.
1 John 1:7-9 (KJV)
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We are to rejoice in the Truth. There are four aspects of the Truth however central to it all is Jesus who is the Truth, who is the Word.
John 17:17 (KJV)
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
You will recall that the first chapter of John goes on to say that the Word became flesh (verse fourteen) and dwelt among us referring to Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.
John 15:26 (KJV)
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
We also find that love itself is Truth.
Psalm 119:142 (KJV)
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Mark 12:30 (KJV)
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
We work for and focus on and seek to please an audience of One. In that submission comes joy unspeakable and full of joy! Outside of that submission is the devils’ playground full of stealing, killing, and destroying. I will pick-up here tomorrow.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (GW)
24 The LORD will bless you and watch over you.
25 The LORD will smile on you and be kind to you.
26 The LORD will look on you with favor and give you peace.’
