LIFTED UP AND NOT ALONE
Tuesday – March 26, 2019, Adar B 19, 5779

Greetings precious friends and partners of this Ministry and welcome back to this powerful teaching of the Word of the Lord. I am teaching through the Book of John weekdays. On Saturdays I have a series titled “Traditions, Lies, and Truth to separate the real from the fake. On Sundays I have an ongoing study of Life in Heaven which will conclude soon. That particular series will be turned into a book, Lord willing, later this year. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “share” and “like” buttons. Thank you. Now let us turn our attention to the study at hand by reading our primary Bible text aloud.
John 8:26-30 (KJV)
26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
Here within just a few verses Jesus tells those gathered that day that He only spoke what the Father gave Him to say, He only did what the Father gave Him to do, and that He only did those things which pleased the Father. I am wondering if this is something, we should pay attention to or is this just applicable to Jesus, after all we are not Jesus. How many of us are listening to the Father (via Holy Spirit) and speaking what we are prompted and given to say or are we running our mouths at will? How many of us “do always those things that please him”? The “him” here is Father God. What pleases God? Many things are pleasing to God but ONLY if by faith! Whatever is not of faith is sin.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
Romans 14:23 (KJV)
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
Is it unrealistic for us to think that what Jesus did, what He said here, is attainable by us today? Was Jesus being unjust and tormenting us with the following command?
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Is this verse followed by Jesus saying, “naw, I was just kidding”? Would saying only what the Father said be included here? Would operating in faith at all times be included here? Could it be that we are not doing the works He did and the greater works because we have gone our own way? Are we pursuing the traditions of men and the doctrines of devils wrapping it all up in fiction to make us feel good and justified for the will of God not manifesting in our lives? Maybe you are thinking about now, “oh, why did I read this one today”. “I don’t want to be convicted to step outside my nice little comfort zone”. Let me ask, just how comfortable is our comfort zone? How much of the curse, the devils stealing, killing, and destroying in our life have we come to accept?
Jesus was The Anointed One in the earth and we are Anointed ones in the earth. Our Anointing is Divine, it is the very same anointing without limit that accompanied Jesus and empowered Him and eventually restored Him as God and to the Throne. Jesus had an overriding primary mission (cross) in the earth which was to pay the price of sin for all mankind. Jesus tells those assembled that when He is lifted up, on the Cross, they will know that He is the Messiah. Jesus said that if He be lifted up He would draw all men to Himself.
John 12:32 (KJV)
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
We are not the Messiah but let me ask a question. Could a broader reading or revelation of this passage also be speaking to us. I believe the short answer is YES. When we are lifted up by God in our calling, our assignment, when we say what He says, when we do what He does, when we operate in faith will men be drawn to us, will men then say that we also are Anointed? Again, the short answer is YES. Meditate on the following.
Matthew 23:12-13 (KJV)
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Right now, droves of leaders and congregants alike are in the “woe” group and very few are in the humbled themselves group. When will we catch on?
1 Peter 5:5-7 (KJV)
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (Bold by Dr. Wood)
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Are we going to read all of this and move on or will we choose to do it, all of it?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
