MY JOY – YOUR JOY
Tuesday – March 31, 2020, Nisan 6, 5780
Greetings to all of our wonderful friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog and welcome back to this challenging Bible Study of the Book of John. Our God dear ones is only good, there is nothing but good in and from our God. If there is anything stealing, killing, or destroying in any of our lives it is not the will of God it is the enemy who has entered through an open door. Unfortunately, we ourselves open the door to our demonic enemies (we fight not against flesh and blood) to steal, kill, and destroy in our lives. God is not teaching us something or working something out in our lives. Many times, the enemy gets access through our ignorance and or a lack of faith. Our ignorance may be due to laziness to prove what we believe or a lack of understanding of how important the Word of God is in our lives. We can also be failing to exercise our faith thus making it stronger. And, sometimes we are just plain rebellious and walking after the flesh. Are we to live by every Word from the mouth of God or not (Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4)? Whatever we build our faith in is what we will have in our lives whether that be good (Word of God) or bad (lies of the devil).

Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text reading it aloud.
John 15:10-14 (KJV)
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
I left off yesterday after starting our dive into verse eleven. Some may be saying “well it is about time!”. Jesus tells us plainly that all this talk about love and commandments is solidly linked to His joy and ours. First, He says that His joy remaining in us is directly linked to our practicing love which is doing His commandments quickly, eagerly, and willingly. And, He adds that this will also cause our joy to be full. This word “full” can also be translated as complete, achieved, accomplished, or realized. Let’s look at verse eleven in two other Bible translations.
John 15:11 (YLT)
11 these things I have spoken to you, that my joy in you may remain, and your joy may be full.
One question that comes to mind is this. Is there a difference between His joy in us and our joy? Let’s perhaps look at this from a different angle, where did we get our joy? Remember, joy is one of the fruit of the spirit, of the Holy Spirit, and our spirit man. Where did our spirit man come from? Let’s look at God’s Word translation which puts this verse in a slightly different light.
John 15:11 (GW)
11 I have told you this so that you will be as joyful as I am, and your joy will be complete.
This looks at it with regard to us being as joyful as Jesus was in His earthly ministry which I would think by definition would mean it was full. Was Jesus obedient to the commands of Scripture, the Word of God? Was He obedient to the commands of the Father 100% of the time or was He kind of hit and miss? Did Jesus have any prayer (speaking the will of the Father) failures? Do prayer failures increase or decrease our joy? An opposite of fulfilled is frustrated, are we fulfilled in our prayer life or frustrated? Perhaps we could give some love, obedience to Scripture, a try. I am not talking about the traditions of men or the doctrines of devils but the Truth that you have researched and proven for yourself. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow, there is a whole lot more to know about joy just like love.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
