PERFECT IN ONE

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this enlightening and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible. Please do not forget about our Wednesday Night Bible Study on Zoom starting at 6 pm Eastern Time. Message me for the meeting id and password for entry through your downloaded Zoom application. We look forward to seeing you. Hope you are enjoying the fall pictures this week. God is so very good to give us His Word educating us about being in His family, His Kingdom is not guesswork. We learn the obligations and the benefits. When responsibilities are discharged benefits are forthcoming. How long will we be slack? Let us choose to be like Caleb and fully occupy our Promised Land purchased by the precious Blood of Jesus.
Numbers 13:30-32 (KJV)
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
How long will we choose to bring evil reports to ourselves, to each other, to the Church, and even to the world? How long will we not receive, believe, think, speak, and act upon the Word of God? Are we going to continue to preach how wonderful the promises (really present realities by faith) of God are but then put them off into the sweet bye and bye?
Numbers 13:27-29 (KJV)
27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
Their report started off good but quickly went to an evil report. They took their eyes off God, off His Word, and placed them on their own understanding. Let us abandon our evil reports and choose the reports of the Lord.
Isaiah 53:1 (KJV)
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
The Arm (capitalized due to the divine person of the Holy Spirit) of the Lord is revealed to those who believe! Now let’s turn our attention to our study of the Book of John and read the text aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:20-23 (KJV)
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
In our text we find Jesus in the final few hours of His Ministry in the earth before surrendering to the Cross obtaining our (mankind’s) restoration to God’s original intent and more. Jesus tells the Father; “the glory which thou gavest me I have given them”. Our receiving of this “glory” enables us to be “made perfect in one”. The glory of God is another way of saying the Holy Spirit of God. There are many what I call Church words. These are words we us in Church and with our Christian friends but are not in our common everyday vernacular. Other such words are grace and blessing. As you will recall we have previously shown (God’s own definition) that the glory of God is the goodness of God. In order for something good to occur there must be a source of that goodness. The primary endpoint source to us is the Holy Spirit. That is to say, it may have been the Father’s idea but the Holy Spirit is the facilitator. The most spectacular example would be salvation. When we accept the Son, we accept the Father, and boom we are in the family by the work of the Holy Spirit, the goodness, the glory of God. Likewise, we can think of the word’s “grace” and “blessing”. The grace of God is the Holy Spirit, the blessing is the Holy Spirit. In order for the favor of God to operate in our lives starting with salvation there must be One who causes the favor. The blessing is the Holy Spirit. In order for there to be a blessing there must be one who blesses.
Finally, when we believe upon the name of Jesus, we are translated from darkness to light and become one with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Other believers are likewise one with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. At the moment of salvation, we are made complete (perfect). Moments before we were lost, our spirit was dead and separated from God but now we are alive to God and one with Him (all three Persons) and with the body of Christ. We are complete in one God, in one body.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
