Thursday – March 3, 2016

Greetings from Eastern Gate Ministries International Inc.; I speak The Blessing and His protections around about you in the name of Jesus. Today is Thursday and the day we are reminded to pray for those in the seven pillars of society. Today I am highlighting the Pillar of Religion which is the pillar that needs the most prayer by far. The true Church is the lynchpin, cornerstone, of all societal happiness and safety. The Church is in the ditch teaching a doctrine of devils and wondering why there is no power in the Church or their individual lives. Some will just proclaim at some particular time in the Church service a move or the presence of God generally associated with a rousing song. The Church has strained gnats and swallowed camels as Jesus told the Pharisees.
Matthew 23:24 (KJV)
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
More on that another time, just pray for the body of Christ as led of the Holy Spirit. Now, back to our study from Colossians 2:2.
Colossians 2:1-2 (KJV)
1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
The Apostle Paul is praying for the saints and faithful brethren to follow the calling in their minds to have a commonality of thought, word, and action with regard to love, Bible love. Bible love is selflessness, obedience to the obligations and promises of the Blood Covenant, and obedience of the Word. When it gets right down to it we are talking about obedience to the Word of God, making His Word our word. We are selfless, following the Blood Covenant, and obedient to the Word because we value God above everything else, and we value what He values above everything else and that is people including ourselves.
Next we find the phrase “unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding”. The word translated riches here means physical stuff, riches, silver and gold etc. Remember that all that is in the physical realm first existed or had its genesis in the spiritual realm whether it be good or bad, it is spiritual law, spiritual reality. And because we have dominion in the earth it all exists as a result of our choices. A rather sobering thought don’t you think? This brings us to “full assurance” which is full confidence or could we accurately say faith. This brings us to the word “understanding”. Understanding is a mental putting together. It is more than an array of thoughts and we see no connections between them, it is where we not only see the connections but we have full confidence, reliance, and faith in that understanding. The word ‘acknowledgment’ can be translated knowledge and it is the Greek word transliterated ‘epignosis’. It is the kind of knowledge that provides clear and exact understanding, it is engaging, and life changing knowledge. It is the kind of knowledge that is transformative, the Anointed Word of God.
Luke 24:32 (KJV)
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Does the Word of God burn within us, so that our minds are opened to understanding, so we can see Him clearly and see what we must do to be more like Him? When these things are in play the Apostle Paul is saying we will know “the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;” God has never hidden His Kingdom, now our kingdom, from us but for us.
Mark 4:11 (KJV)
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Oh, what a Savior, He gave Himself for us, setting the value of our worth, far above rubies, emeralds, gold or silver, even setting our value equal or above His own like we might for our children.
Know that you are God’s most valuable possession.
