SIN – THE CURSE – THE WORKS OF GOD

Greetings dear partners and friends of Eastern Gate Ministries International, Inc., and The Three Minute Word publication. As you may know I am doing a verse by verse through the Book of John. In this picture you see a couple of bandits at one of the water troughs for the cattle, donkeys, buffalo, and anything else that wandered by getting a drink. Now let’s go to our primary Bible text reading it aloud. It is important to read it aloud to get it in our eyes, our mouth, and our ears. It will also be most helpful to just meditate for a moment about what is happening here and ask the Lord to give us unique insights for our life.
John 9:1-5 (KJV)
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
If you are a little hazy about yesterdays teaching it would be well worth going back and reviewing. We are building this teaching over a couple of days. As a brief recap we have a man born blind which is of the curse not of the Blessing. The disciples were well aware of the connection between sin and the curse (all bad things as defined by Scripture). This connection is all over Scripture not to mention Deuteronomy twenty-eight which we briefly reviewed yesterday. Sin (lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, pride of life), disobedience (sin), unbelief (sin), not walking in love (sin), unforgiveness (sin), and passing judgement (sin), and not being led of the Holy Spirit (sin) all open the door to the curse and precludes the Blessing. The idea that God makes people sick so He can heal them is evil. God does according to Spiritual Law allow sickness and other calamities however we are the ones that pull the trigger in our thought life, words, and actions (sin). This blind man is about to be healed by his faith igniting the Anointing of Jesus in an unusual way.
Of paramount importance is the fact that Jesus does not dispute the sin curse connection. What Jesus is saying is that there was not a particular sin that resulted in this man’s blindness. The curse is present in the earth, where sin is present there is an entry point, and it will enter if not interdicted. This man’s faith is going to be tested, proven, and will ignite the Anointing on Jesus to do its work which is to destroy the yoke and lift the burden, which in this case is blindness. Let’s take a moment and think about the first sermon Jesus preached and continued to preach in one way or another throughout His earthly ministry.
Luke 4:18-19 (KJV)
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Recovering sight to the blind was a primary mission for the Messiah and is now ours. The primary blindness to be recovered is light, the recovery of spiritual sight. A side product of spiritual light will be the recovery of physical sight in those who will by faith. Spiritual force dominates and dictates all things concerning the physical. Now, let us recall one of seven eternal mandates or commands given to mankind from the beginning.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Just prior (verse 26) to this God has given all (not some and not to exercised jointly) authority in the earth to mankind. In addition, mankind is given the Blessing (Holy Spirit) to accomplish the seven eternal mandates or commands for all time. The verse above delineates the first four of seven eternal mandates to mankind. I want us to focus in specifically on the fourth one which is to subdue the earth. This means that anything (except other people) made from the earth not only do we have authority over but we can directly subdue supernaturally by the Blessing. Of course, there is also a natural subduing of the earth by natural men. For supernatural men, keep in mind all has to be by faith, in love, and led of the Holy Spirit. When we align with God in the exercise of our God delegated authority the Power without limit will flow. Jesus exercising this authority as a man, an Anointed man, did what He heard of the Father, what He saw of the Father, and the Father did the works as we will see.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
