Grace and peace be multiplied unto each of you that take this Word with great hunger creating a fire in the belly and burning away all unbelief. Friday already and time to dive back into God’s Word with all of our heart, our soul, and all of our strength, natural and spiritual.
Deuteronomy 6:5 (KJV)
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Today I am reminding us all to pray for the Church, not the buildings but the people who comprise the body of anointing or Anointed ones in the earth on assignment in the world. The Church building pictured is the Renner Lutheran Church also known as the Nidaros Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church located in Renner South Dakota. This Church was founded in 1868. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Now back to Spiritual Warfare.
1 Peter 5:5-10 (KJV)
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
We left off yesterday with 1 Peter 5:10 discovering that our obedience to the Word of God, the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the Master, the Lord Jesus Christ would lead to our joy, pleasure, gratification, favor, and acceptance. This same God that makes all wonderful things happen in our lives when we bring Him into our lives by obedience to His leadership is the One who called us to this position to receive grace and “his eternal glory”. Interestingly the root word for the word ‘glory’ is ‘think’. We are called to think like God for when we think like God we will be living like God and eternal life like God’s is ours! Because of Christ Jesus, because of Calvary, because of His victory over hell and the grave we also have victory. However to our chagrin this does not just fall upon us it takes diligence and steadfastness. We have to suffer a while. That does not mean to suffer as with pain and poverty but with the learning process, growing pains if you will, and the insults of the enemy. On the frontend of the devils assault it looks awful but on the tail end it looks pitiful. What a God we serve. The devil is all about stealing, killing, and destroying and our God is all about giving, life, and restoration to better than before, in a word abundance overflowing.
John 10:10 (AMP)
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
As we finish this passage today and this part of our study of Spiritual Warfare look at the supernatural outcome of our successfully withstanding the enemy. God Himself will make us complete (facilitate maturity), establish us in His Kingdom, strengthen us with His Power and settle us. To settle us is to consolidate the foundation upon which we stand. The foundation upon which we stand is the Word of God, Christ Jesus. Oh, what a good God!
May this be the Truth in each of our lives, right now in the name of Jesus I speak verse ten into your life, it is not automatic but if you will receive it and act upon it, it will manifest.
1 Peter 5:10 (KJV)
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
