Proverbs 9:1, 6 (KJV)
1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
It is Thursday and time for me to remind us all to pray for the seven pillars of society established by God, a reflection of Heaven but perverted by the old dragon. Pray especially for the Pillar of Government. Our hope is not in the government, it is in God. However, the governments can be an instrument of good, bad, or some mixture.
In this election cycle like those stretching back perhaps as far as Abraham Lincoln the Church has allowed the devil to knock righteous presidential contenders to the side and we are left with his choices. When this finally dawns on the Church we will not hear rhetoric like; “well we just don’t understand for Gods’ ways are higher than our ways”, “God is in control you know”, and “this is God’s choice, He puts up and takes down whomever He will”. All of that rhetoric is absolute hogwash! These are the doctrines of devils which are very prevalent, almost universal in the Church today. The Church is sound asleep in deep deception! Brother and sister we are not hapless children being tossed about on the sea of life we are the Church of the living God! Nothing happens upon the earth that the Church has not allowed or is allowing, period!
Colossians 2:8 (KJV)
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Now let us resume our study from the Book of Colossians.
Colossians 2:13-15 (KJV)
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
In place of the word ‘spoiled’ above we could use the word ‘stripped’, meaning these evil principalities and powers have been divested 100% from their position gained when Adam bowed and handed them his authority (Genesis 3:6, Romans 6:16, Luke 4:6). The enemy did not see this coming even though it is recorded and spoken of by the Prophets from the Garden to the Cross. The Wisdom of God, the Word of God, is not understood by the devils and it is not understood by the holy angels either, it is up to the Church to make it known to them by the leadership of God.
Ephesians 3:10 (ESV)
10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
1 Corinthians 2:6-8 (KJV)
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
The devil thought he was wiping out the Son of God and he would finally be ‘God’ when in reality he was bringing about his own judgment. O what a God, O what a Savior! Sin was judged at the crucifixion and with it the man of sin, the serpent and they are damned forever. The ‘it’ at the end of Colossians 2:15 is the Cross of our Savior. They thought they had Him when the reality was He had them on all fronts. All that was corrupted spiritually and physically in the Garden was restored, and better. We are in Christ Jesus, we have a safety net Adam did not have.
