THE FATHER HIMSELF LOVETH YOU
Greetings children, sons, and daughters of the only Living God and welcome back to this wonderful, powerful, life changing Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment right now, yes, right now, to share this teaching as widely as possible. God sees. The featured picture today was taken by a good friend of this Ministry, Joe Getchell Jr of Pittsfield, Maine. Concerning COVID-19, we have done very well here in the State of Maine in spite of a common rebellion by Christians and heathen alike. Let us remember we are not just rebelling against the government and/or Walmart but Almighty God. I strongly urge all to not become complacent in any way but be vigilant especially spiritually. On the physical level let the Lord lead you concerning things like cash on hand, food supplies, and other supplies. On the spiritual let us be building our faith and resisting the devils at every turn. The Church at large has not repented and attacked this pestilence on a spiritual level so worse is yet to come. Seems many have forgotten that we don’t war against flesh and blood.
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
There is a rising remnant who in obedience to Scripture will soon make the things Jesus did and the greater things a present reality. This rising remnant will change, revitalize, any person, any home, any community, any city who will receive them. Are you committed to being a part of the end-time move of God? What does it look like? Does it look like yesteryear or is it going be a new thing? It will have elements of yesteryear but a new thing, the things beyond, the greater things will be upon us.
Isaiah 61:4 (KJV)
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
This verse is but a part of the “greater things”, let us faint not, but be strong in faith, great faith and get these things done for the glory of God. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for today and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 16:26-31 (KJV)
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
Today I will start by focusing on verse twenty-seven of our primary text. Jesus says that the Father “loves” us because we have “loved” Him (Jesus) and believe Jesus came out from God. Let’s take a closer look at the statement of verse twenty-seven. Interestingly the words ‘loveth’ and ‘loved’ in verse twenty-seven are not agape (love) but phileō according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary meaning to be a friend, to be fond of, or to have affection for (denoting personal attachment, as a matter of sentiment or feeling). As we examine the difference between agape and phileō we find that agape is Blood Covenant based and phileō is based on emotion and common interest etc. In the world it is generally thought that friendship occurs before love or a covenant relationship. An example would be a couple (man and woman) dating (phileō) and then entering into agape by their will to commit in Blood Covenant to one another. Agape (love) is the love of 1 Corinthians 13 (selfless), it is an act of the will, Blood Covenant, and obedience to the Word of God first of all. Agape is Blood Covenant, an act of the will not emotion. Phileō is based in emotion, common benefits, and common interests. The world system of friendship leading to Covenant love is the reverse of the Kingdom of God with Covenant love leading to friendship. God extended agape (Covenant love) before extending friendship. Notice John 3:16, the word ‘loved’ is agape and is the offering of a Covenant relationship. In order to be a friend with God one must have entered into Blood Covenant.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Entering into Blood Covenant with God requires that one believe (have faith) God, which pleases Him, and be obedient to Scripture. When we believe God and reflect that belief by acting upon His Word (agape) we please Him and enter into friendship with God. As you see in our focus verse (John 16:27) believing that Jesus is the Christ, the One who came out from God, pleased the Father, and produced a friendship and predisposition to do good toward them. Lord willing, I will pick up here tomorrow and move forward. Thank you, Lord, for your wonderful Word.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
