THE GLORY OF GOD

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this in depth and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. The featured picture today is courtesy of our friend and Ministry friend Joe Getchell Jr. Our God is so very good and He is nothing but good. Anything that is not good is of our own making and courtesy of the thief. Dear ones we and we alone open the door for our Lord and the Blessing or for the devil(s) and the curse. I know that really rocks religious boats but they need to not only be rocked but capsized. We need to start walking on the Water (Word of God) and quit riding around in religious boats brimming over with the traditions of men, the doctrines of demons, and lack of faith for the things Jesus did and the greater things which we are commanded to do. We are at the verge of a new day dear ones! Awaken and walk in the light fleeing the darkness. The day of same o, same o must be put far in our rear view mirrors. Jesus did not come for what we see today in the Church and the world. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:1-3 (KJV)
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Jesus is just a couple of hours from submitting to the Cross to destroy the works of the devil and He is downloading big time on them and us. What a privilege given by our Heavenly Father. In the very first verse of our text Jesus acknowledges to the Father that He knows the hour is come and the absolute goodness of God is about to be manifest to all. All who have ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart to receive can walk in the fulness of God’s glory, His goodness. Let’s be reminded that God does nothing except He tell His prophets first.
Amos 3:7 (KJV)
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Of course, there are many prophecies starting in the Garden of Eden on the Day of Sin and Death about the need for and the coming of a Messiah. The Messiah (Jesus, the Word) is the epitome of the glory, the goodness of God. On the Day of Sin and Death, the devil was fully informed he had a limited time and man was informed that redemption is assured.
Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
God showed Abraham at the foot of Mt. Moriah, the coming Savior, Redeemer who would die for his and our sins on that very mountain.
Genesis 22:4-5 (KJV)
4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. (Bold added)
Hebrews 11:17-19 (KJV)
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
The Seed, Jesus, the Redeemer was coming through Isaac! Go back and review last weeks teachings including Moses asking to see the glory of God and God showing him His goodness which was the coming of Christ and the Holy Spirit. This is but a minute presentation of the Prophecies concerning the Messiah say nothing of all the others that have come to pass. Listen to what the Apostle Peter has to say about prophecy.
2 Peter 1:16-19 (KJV)
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (Bold added)
Why are Prophets and the Word they convey from God so despised (thought so little of) today?
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
