CHURCH SMASH THROUGH THE GATES OF HELL

Greetings to all that join us and welcome to this foundational teaching on The Kingdom of God. This was the central theme of the Ministry of Jesus in the earth, and it is now passed to us, the Church, to continue and expand. This gospel does little good confined to the Church. I’m not talking about street Ministry so much as I’m talking about our lives being a manifestation of the goodness of our God. We don’t need and the world doesn’t need to see a Church with a religious brand of what they already have. We must aspire to occupy the gates of the Seven Mountains of Influence through excellence and the Grace of God. Now let’s turn our attention to our topic and our anchor Scripture.
Matthew 6:33 (AMP)
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
Jesus has been talking about the natural things of life that all of us need, saint and sinner alike. Jesus says that these things will flow to us if we do the first part of the verse. The body of Christ needs to be a dominating influence at every level of every Mountain of Influence. Jesus is talking about us seeking first the Kingdom of God and His way of doing with all of our hearts. He knows our heart; we’re not going to pull the wool over His eyes. Now, into our next passages concerning the Kingdom of God.
Acts 20:24-29 (KJV)
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
The Apostle Paul is on his way to Jerusalem in spite of being warned by many Prophets that no good thing awaits him there. He will be taken prisoner and taken to Rome and by Church history beheaded in Rome. It was prophesied that he would preach to the gentiles and stand before kings which had already happened. Was it the will of God that all which happened between Jerusalem and Rome culminating in his violent death the will of God? I suspect many of you shook your heads in the affirmative. Is our God so small that He could not bring the Apostle Paul before Ceasar and eventually have a peaceful death like the Apostle John?
I want to deal with verse twenty-nine very briefly before concluding for today. Basically, he is saying for now I am holding this Church together but when I leave here there will be divisions and probably a Church split or perhaps a splintering (more than two groups). The Apostle was leaving behind very capable leadership. From the text we see that he prophesied evil people would come in or rise up after his departure. I have seen this personally. If you want to leave a Church do so quietly and take no one with you. If you are entering a Church don’t do so to take over or divide the flock for your own ego and gain. Having said this, there is cause for a Church to split when one faction is clearly in error, I’m talking about serious doctrinal error, false doctrine.
TAKE HOME:
- We must stop presenting to the Church and world alike a religious brand of what they already have.
- Is it ever the will of God for a Christian to die a violent death for their faith, a violent death as in a crime or so-called accident, or even disease? Jesus is our prime example.
- Guard against grievous wolves entering in among you, not sparing the flock.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
