THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD

Greetings to the dear and precious saints who are friends and partners of this ministry and welcome back to this empowering study of the Book of John. God is so good dear ones. If you are not yet a friend or partner of this ministry, do so today. A friend not only gives a thumbs up or heart (Facebook) but shares the teachings. A partner does that plus partners with us financially. Partnership increases the power of this ministry and will enrich your life as well. The pictures today, and tomorrow like yesterday are courtesy of a good friend of this Ministry and were taken in Pittsfield, Maine.
The pestilence of the Coronavirus continues and the Church has split into three groups. First was the group that never stopped having services in their building in defiance of the law, and it seems this is a small group. The second group are those who closed initially in compliance with the law but later reopened with “safety measures” in place in defiance of the law. Third is the group that has complied with the law at every stage. Which one of these did the will of God? Do those who opened their Churches have the mantra of not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25) perhaps coupled with a fear that our First Amendment rights are being trampled? Does the Bible address the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States? Have we been arguing about the prevalence or severity of Coronavirus, words like essential or nonessential, and fairness? Are the restrictions or mandates in place an attack upon religion or Coronavirus? During this have we been able to gather electronically, gather in our own homes, gather in groups of ten or less (now fifty or less)? Have we been asked to violate one of God’s moral laws? Does the Bible address submission to governmental authority? What is the Bible prescribed frequency for attending Church? What is the context of Hebrews 10:25?
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text from the Book of John and read it out loud. Yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17) and it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6).
John 16:8-13 (KJV)
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
As we will all recall, Jesus is just a few hours from the Cross and securing our redemption from the curse of the Law (Galatians 3:13-14). The curse of the law is sin and death and includes all stealing, killing, and destroying in our lives. These terrible things are never of God (allowed due to our unbelief) but come when the thief gets a judgment against us. The Comforter will convict (reprove) the world of the need to believe upon Christ Jesus. The Comforter will convict the world of the need for righteousness, right standing with the Father. The only way to the Father is by believing upon Christ Jesus. The Comforter will convict the world of the coming judgment and that the prince of this world is already judged. Let’s look at the 11th verse in the Complete Jewish Bible.
John 16:11 (CJB)
11 about judgment, in that the ruler of this world has been judged.
As we can see, when Jesus uttered these words the guilt and punishment of “the ruler of this world” had already been adjudicated (judged, decided). To avoid any confusion, the ruler of this world is Satan and his bunch. They came to be rulers when Adam and Eve bowed their knee to him. The Serpent obtained this authority (dominion) by deception and maintains it by deception. Listen to what he said in the temptation of Jesus.
Luke 4:5-7 (KJV)
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
The word ‘power’ in verse six is authority or dominion. Who delivered it? Adam and Eve, but Jesus got it back (Matthew 28:18-20). As we finish for today let’s listen to what the Apostle Paul says by the unction of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 6:16 (KJV)
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
