THE PROPHETS AND THE SON
Friday – May 26, 2017

Greetings and welcome back to The Three Minute Word Bible Study. It is Friday and the day that I remind us all too pray for the Church, for those who are born from above. We know from Scripture that God wants us to diligently pray for the Church and what to pray or more accurately what to decree for the purposes of God. Think in terms of decree (commands, you are a king) and think in terms of intercession (you are a priest), and think in terms of the seven foundational commandments or mandates of God which are to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish the earth, to subdue the earth, to be a good steward, to guard the garden (Kingdom of God), and not to mix evil with good when praying for the saints. The Church is in a shambles (just like the Church above) but there is a remnant that is arising and will light the way for those who will choose salvation. The great apostasy is already well underway (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Now let’s return to our Bible Study.
Hebrews 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
God has spoken by many prophets in times past and He continues to speak through His prophets.
Amos 3:7 (KJV)
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
God speaks through His prophets, all new revelation (uncovering of Truth) always comes through the Prophets (and Apostles). God did it that way in times past, the ancient times, and today. There is no example of God (other than the creation account) speaking anything into the earth independent of a person. The real Prophets of today (2017) are in no way different from the Prophets of old. To say that the Prophets of today are different would be to say that they are either false prophets, that God has quit speaking (just read the Bible), or that the Word He speaks through His Prophets today is somehow inferior in quality. And of course there are those who say there are no longer Prophets. Of course the point of view that there are no Prophets today flies in the face of Scripture but never mind that all sorts of beliefs in the Church fly in the face of Scripture. For anything to happen in the earth (a sphere of mans’ authority) it must be spoken by a man (person) decreed and that allows God to perform it. Consider the following passage which by the way is one of my life Scriptures (God’s command to me).
Jeremiah 1:6-12 (KJV)
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
The Lord speaks to the Prophet Jeremiah who is reluctant but you may have noticed that God is not real sensitive to our reluctances. When you consider any of these things from God’s prospective, in His will, we cannot fail, and we cannot be touched. Those ordained a Prophet by God must remember and practice seeing all from God’s view which is our view since we are seated right beside our Father in Christ Jesus. The LORD (self-existent eternal God) told Jeremiah and the prophets today to not be afraid of the people for He the LORD would deliver him from their hands. The LORD Himself puts Words into the mouth of Jeremiah and the Prophets of today. In verse ten (ten, the number of our responsibility) we see that those Words either work to tear down the worlds (devils) kingdoms and/or build the Kingdom of God. Then down in verse twelve (twelve the number of God’s perfect government or which we are) we see that the LORD Himself is watching over the Words He puts in our mouths to perform them.
Our Scriptural text in Hebrews goes on to tell us that God has in these the last days spoken to us by His Son, the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the necessary redeemer, was a magnificent manifestation, a fulfillment of the Words given to and spoken by the Prophets over centuries. The reality is that Jesus (The Word) has been speaking from eternity past to the present. Jesus was and is a manifestation of the Word, a manifestation of God in the earth, and it is the Word that brings the manifestation of God into the earth. Jesus, the Word, is the voice of God. Consider the following Scriptures until next time.
John 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Matthew 1:23 (KJV)
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
John 14:9 (KJV)
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Psalm 138:2 (KJV)
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
