Greetings from Eastern Gate Ministries International, publisher of The Three Minute Word. Each of us must make the conscious decision to receive the Word of God in this teaching, process it, understand that it is part of the Truth, and make the lessons we desperately need a part of our thoughts, words, and actions, choosing to be more like Him, doing His perfect will for our lives. The perfect will of God for our lives is not filled with poverty of every kind (financial, health, family, etc.) but every kind of prosperity as the laws of God are set in motion. Even if God sends you to deepest and darkest Africa there will be an abundance for you in that place of His will. Remember we are Ambassadors for Him wherever we are functioning according to His will. When an Ambassador goes from the United States to another country, the Ambassador does not live in a mud hut and according to the poverty of that country, but according to the wealth and luxury of this country. The same is true of the Kingdom of God. Now, I realize this is not how many people think but meditate on this and see where the Holy Spirit takes you. He never leads into poverty, sickness and disease, or bondages of any kind. There is to be a difference (just as between the Israelites and the Egyptians), we are to be walking talking examples of that difference. Okay, let’s take a look at our text as we continue our study of this wonderful book of Ephesians.
Ephesians 1:9-11 (KJV)
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
As we look briefly at Ephesians 1:9 the phrase “Having made known” would appear to be past tense on first glance but on further study this phrase is aorist tense and active voice, meaning that “the mystery of his will” has been known all along, past, present, and future. The will of God has become a mystery even to His people due rebellion, lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, pride of life, the traditions of men, and the resultant hardening of the hearts of men (and women). The substitute sounds good, sounds religious, but is absolute trash leading to stealing, killing, and destroying. However, God always has had those that know His will and transmit it generation to generation albeit sometimes a miniscule population. Many times these individuals are not well received in the ‘Church’ or are outright ostracized. As an example of a thing that was known in the time of Adam and still is not come to pass look at the following passage.
Jude 1:14-15 (KJV)
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Revelation 19:11-14 (KJV)
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
There have always been people of God that knew and know the plan, the will of God, but seemed happier to accept the lies of Satan. Evil strongholds were and are established among believers and is worsening by the day. Why won’t we prove our thoughts and our words by the Word of God? The same reason Adam did not in the Garden, lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life. When we get our focus on our physical senses and unrenewed mind we have the accelerator to the floor headed toward the ditch or a cement embankment.
You may have all you can chew at the moment so I will leave off here until tomorrow.
