AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THE WORDS OF JESUS – WORDS OF THE FATHER
Greetings to our dear and precious friends and partners and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment right now to share this teaching to expand the reach of this Ministry. The featured picture today is of Donna and me near Ocean Point Inn in East Boothbay some months ago. I thought by this time in August we might want to see someone with a light coat. God is so good to give us revelation of His Word, light to live in and by. Revelation, light, comes to those who seek, receive, believe, and do. As you and I are all to well aware COVID-19 is still with us. As I was preparing to write today (July 22nd) I saw more very public rebellion against authority by “Christians”. As I asked yesterday, what is there about the following Scripture (and there are others) Christians don’t understand?
1 Peter 2:13-15 (KJV)
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
One Christian said that if the disease was more prevalent, they would wear the mask. Is that exception found in the Scripture?
Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Another Christian told how they went to Walmart without a mask and no one said anything, mask wearing was not being enforced. Therefore, don’t worry about wearing a mask since it is not being enforced even though the governor and Walmart have asked us to wear masks. Is the lack of apparent enforcement an exception in Scripture? Is it okay with God if the speed limit is 50 mph and we go 57 mph because they won’t give us a ticket until we go 60 mph? This childish rebellious behavior by Christians ought not to be.
2 Timothy 2:3-5 (KJV)
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. (Bold added)
Follow the law dear brothers and sister and take the war into the spirit realm where we can make real and lasting change. We are to be the standard (highest level) of honor and excellence not rebellion. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:1-5 (KJV)
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Wow, can you believe it, we are moving into a new chapter in John. The Word of God is so wonderful! We are to live by every word from the mouth of God. Remember that all of the words of Jesus are the words of the Father, the words of God.
John 8:28 (KJV)
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
John 12:49 (KJV)
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
John 14:10 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Should our objective be to say what the Father says? Back to our text for just a moment. Jesus is literally just a few hours away from the Cross and we see Him initiating a lengthy prayer, conversation, with the Father. I will pick up here, Lord willing, next Monday.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
