THE WORKS OF MY FATHER
Wednesday – June 26, 2019, Sivan 23, 5779
Greetings my precious brothers and sisters in Christ, and we extend the warmest greetings as well to those who have not decided to make Jesus Lord. These structures and others are where the real Church gathers to develop their battle plans. Now let’s turn to our study by first reading our primary Bible text aloud.
John 10:34-38 (KJV)
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
If you are wondering when I might get back to dealing with only the text, well today could be the day, have hope. As perhaps you noticed in the title, I intend to deal with verses 37 and 38 today. We have heard Jesus refer before to the works of the Father or that the Father does the works. Jesus did not operate as God in the earth but as an Anointed man, hence the term Christ (Anointed) Jesus (Jehovah saved). We are to operate on the same and even greater supernatural level as our Lord. We are not natural people or limited by our natural bodies, we are supernatural being empowered by the Holy Spirit Himself. This is the Blessing given in the beginning to Adam now returned to believers in no small part due to the faith of Abraham the father of us all, all Christians. Rejoice and be glad my friends, not doubters, dare to step where we all are commanded to step, into the shoes of Jesus. Let us pick up and effectively use the Mantle (the Anointing) Jesus sent (dropped like Elijah dropped his mantle) from Heaven.
Remember that Jesus only said what the Father said, did what He saw the Father doing, and the Father did the works. This flow of the Power of God always works the same way every time without exception. The Word comes from the Father, we do our part which is often speaking, and then the Power flows. Of course, we must be in faith, in love, and led of the Holy Spirit. Also, we must have spent time with the Father in order to know what He wants us to do at any given time. We must never forget these fundamentals, there is no other way and no shortcut. So, once again let’s review this process from Scripture, which is where I got the idea. This is the pattern we must follow. We can do as we please and get natural results or we can do as the Lord instructs and modeled and get supernatural results.
John 5:19-20 (KJV)
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Jesus Himself said He could do nothing of Himself and of course we can and in humility must make the same statement. We also see that Jesus only did what He saw the Father do. In addition, we see that because Jesus was attentive to the Father there was nothing withheld from Jesus. If we will spend quality time with the Father, we will have the same results. Quality time is not praying in the car as we are being attentive to traffic, what awaits us at work, and perhaps a myriad of other things. Get out of bed at least one hour (minimum) early and be alone with the Lord.
John 14:10 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Again, it is made clear that it was not Jesus doing the works acting as God in the earth but by the Anointing, His faith, love, and obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit that allowed the Father to do the works.
John 12:50 (KJV)
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Jesus tells us again; He only spoke what the Father gave Him to speak. I wonder, when I examine my life, my ministry, am I doing these things. If not, perhaps that is the core reason for the lack of Holy Spirit flow in my life. Well, perhaps tomorrow I will deal a little more directly with our text.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
