AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THINE THEY WERE
Greetings to the dear and precious saints who diligently study and prove this blog. It’s not true or Truth because I said it, it is true or Truth because God said it. Welcome back to this wonderful and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible. Before we dive into the Bible Study be reminded that we are less than two months to a pivotal election. All elections are very important and we, the Church, have an obligation to vote. Watching the Church vote (about half don’t) and seeing how they voted in the exit polls or post-election analysis is beyond frustrating. I don’t know other people’s heart like the Lord does or how much light (reveled Word of God) they have when they vote in ways absolutely antithetical (opposing, hostile) to Scripture. I am not qualified to be anyone’s judge. Please study the Bible and vote according to the Scripture and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We will not be led by the Holy Spirit to vote differently than what is found in Scripture. We will not be led by God to not vote (violates stewardship), or vote for persons who promote abortion, sexual perversion, or have less than full-throated support of Israel. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:6-10 (KJV)
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Our God is just over the top good and He is jealous for His people. Are we saved and in the Church to avoid Hell or because we have come to really love (agape) Him? Now, let’s turn our full attention back to our primary text and verse six. Jesus is speaking to the Father, praying to the Father just a couple of hours before surrendering to the Cross. Jesus is telling the Father, them, and us, that He has revealed the Father to them. Although it is not explicitly stated He is a really good, good Father. We know this because everything Jesus did was led of the Father and everything was good.

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
We have a beyond good God, everything He does is for good, it is good, there is not a mean streak in Him, nor does He have a dark side. He is not going about punishing people, making them sick and broke. Conversely, if we will let Him, He is bringing nothing but good and healing into our lives. By the way God, the Father, wants to do through us exactly the things He did through Jesus and even greater things. The authority and Power for the greater things has been returned to those who are children of God. The King James text (John 17:6) seems to make it seem like the name of God, the Father, was made known to these disciples and us (current disciples) but it is more the character of the Father. Meditate he New Living Translation and the Amplified.

6 “I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

6 I have manifested Your Name [I have revealed Your very Self, Your real Self] to the people whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have obeyed and kept Your word.
Remember what Jesus said to Phillip when he asked to see the Father.
John 14:8-9 (KJV)
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Dear ones we should be able to answer people exactly the same way the Master did Phillip that day. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
