TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART SIXTEEN
PSALM 91 – PART ONE
Saturday – May 4, 2019, Nisan 29, 5779

Greetings most precious brothers and sisters, partners and friends of this Ministry. It is an honor that you would follow the teachings of this Ministry. It is my prayer that the material makes each of us stronger day by day. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons to expand the reach of this Ministry. This Saturday series of teachings is humbly attempting to elucidate darkness from light in our thinking. Just as a little leaven leaven’s the whole loaf so does a little darkness leave us powerless. Let each of us determine that we are going to routinely prove the Word of God by the Word of God. The Holy Scripture (Bible) is a self-proving document. There are things in our thinking which are either just plain wrong all together, contaminated with tradition or the doctrine of devils, or being used out of the proper context. The pure Word of God spoken in faith, powered by love, led of the Holy Spirit always brings the supernatural result. We have been studying about prayer and decrees so along those lines I am going to deal with the 91st Psalm over the next several weeks. Prayer includes finding out the will of God, engaging in thanksgiving to God, praise of God, and vows of submission (followed by concrete action) to God, as well as declaring (issuing a decree) the will of God. Until we decree a thing the Hand of God is idle. Now, let us dive into our primary Bible text.
Psalm 91:1-4 (KJV)
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
How do we dwell in the secret place of the most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty? The Prophet Amos tells us that we must walk in agreement which is to say the same thing that God says.
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
The secret place of the most High and the shadow of the Almighty is only available to those who stick very close to the Lord. That does not mean one is lost and going to Hell if they are not in that place, but it does mean they are as a straggling sheep who is prey for the roaring lion. Verse two gives us a vital secret, unveils a valuable mystery. Verse two is our part and is a decree on our part not a request or begging for God to do something for us. The secret place and the shadow of God is available to whosoever will do their part to occupy that space. The table is set dear ones but we must come to the table, occupy our place in Christ Jesus, and partake of the goodness of God. He does not cram His goodness, His provisions down our throats. We partake by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit.
As we look at verse two of our text, we realize that this decree concerning our relationship with the Lord is vital to being in the secret place, being in the shadow and not out and fair game for our enemies. I would encourage us all to routinely declare that not only is God our Lord (highest authority in our lives not in word only but deed), but that He is our refuge, our fortress, our God, and the one we trust without exception. If we do not declare this, decree it, it will never be the Truth in our lives. Right from the get go of our Christian experience this is the reality.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
God cuts us a great deal of slack, mercy, early in our walk. As we view the Romans Scripture above we can all see that we have to declare, confess, that Jesus is Lord. The words ‘confess and confession’ mean to say the same thing as God. God even gives us the words to confess or declare. How much easier can this get?
As we follow along in our text from Psalm 91, we see that the result of our decree is that we are delivered from the snare of the fowler (devil) and the various pestilences. As a result of our decree, declaration, we are covered by our Lord, and we just peak out from under His wing as to what is happening around us while we are perfectly safe. I will pick up here Lord willing next Saturday.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
