THE GREATER THINGS – PART TWENTY-SEVEN
Greetings to our dear brothers and sisters who follow this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. God bless you all. We are grateful for the friends of this Ministry especially those who are partners with us. No Ministry, no business operates on best wishes and fresh air. Join with us by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit as a partner. All three are essential for effective partnership. Now, please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible expand our reach with the Truth. For several weeks (this is the twenty-seventh) I have been dealing with the works that Jesus did and commanded us to do as well and the greater works which He also commanded we do as well.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Dear ones we need to quit gathering in a building we erroneously call the Church for social club activities. Dear ones we need to be about the Father’s business! The Church is the Anointed body of believers in the earth. We don’t come to Church for some emotional high or an exuberance of activity but to build up, encourage, and comfort one another. The nine gifts of the Spirit (all nine) are to be in present in abundance and the Word is to be spoken with authority and Anointing assisting us to come to maturity.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
The word ‘perfect’ in verse seventeen means to be complete, sufficient, or whole. Then we should see, on a regular basis, the works Jesus did in and outside the building in which the Church meets. It is critical that all be led of the Spirit first, move with faith in God, and love (agape) as our motivation. Prayer failures are guaranteed when we follow the traditions of men and doctrines established by demons. Whatever we are doing whether it be in the building within which we (the Church) gather or outside we must ask ourselves if there is a Bible model with at least two witnesses. This is what brother or sister so and so taught or we have always done it this way does not count. Now, let’s move back to our Isaiah sixty-one text in the Holman Christian Standard Bible.
Isaiah 61:1-3 (HCSB)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,
3 to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the LORD to glorify Him.
Last Sunday I ended with the phrase “the day of our God’s vengeance” found in the second verse. When Jesus sat in the Moses seat of the Synagogue of His home town, He read this and He was the reason favor was coming upon all. The very next phrase “the day of our God’s vengeance” (not ours), refers to the body slam God is about to execute against Satan and his minions.
Remember the following Scripture, this day has been in the planning for 4000 years.
Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
These words were uttered in the Garden of Eden on the Day of Sin and Death by God to the Serpent. However, the Lamb (Jesus) was slain from the foundation of the world for this very purpose in the event man should fall into sin.
1 John 3:8 (KJV)
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Sin was dealt with on the Cross and the Resurrection for all mankind for all time. The devil and his bunch were completely defeated forever, and Jesus made an open show of them, He humiliated them, not only that but secured their place in the lake of fire for eternity.
Colossians 2:14-15 (KJV)
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Our sins are blotted out dear ones!

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
