AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

IN THAT DAY

Greetings saints of the Most High God, really the only God. It is by the innocent Blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus, we may obtain salvation, eternal life. Thank you, Jesus, for being a sacrifice for me, thank you Father for honoring the Blood Covenant with Abraham, and thank you Holy Spirit for showing me the way of mercy, the way of salvation. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry. The beautiful picture featured today is provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. Let us return to our study of the Bible Book of Isaiah reading our primary text aloud, yes, out loud. Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about (smile).
Isaiah 4:1-6 (KJV)
1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
I realize this is a lengthy passage but we need to keep things in context as much as is practical. This passage like the latter part of Chapter three is describing the consequences of sin and the judgment that always follows, that must follow unrepented sin. The judgment of God is two-fold. First is God’s decision as to if the thing (thought, word, deed) is righteous or unrighteous. Second, if the thing is unrighteous what are the consequences. As we examine all six verses of this chapter, we see the outcome of judgment carried out, the cleansing, and a start to restoration. Our God is so good. The way out of trouble is always repentance. We and we alone decide, determine, how much curse will be present in our lives. As we start into this chapter we find ourselves in a time when there has apparently been a great slaughter of the men.
Isaiah 4:1 (MSG)
1 That will be the day when seven women will gang up on one man, saying, “We’ll take care of ourselves, get our own food and clothes. Just give us a child. Make us pregnant so we’ll have something to live for!”
The time being referred to by our text appears to be at the very end of the Great Tribulation with the Battle of Armageddon at the hill of Megiddo, and the Second Coming of Christ and the establishment of His Kingdom in the earth. I believe the following passages refer to and describe the same time-frame.
Zechariah 13:7-9 (KJV)
7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
As we know the predominate persons to die in war, on the battlefield are men. Thus, we see seven women to one man in our primary text. Ancient Israel’s final and continuous to this day rebellion against God was when they participated with the Gentiles to send Jesus to the Cross. As we know from history and the Zechariah text above the Jews have been scattered about the earth since 70 AD. Of only 14-15 million Jews upon the earth about 7 million live in Israel, the rest are scattered throughout the earth with the vast majority living in the United States. It appears that two thirds of all the Jews will be killed during the Great Tribulation leaving a third or some 5 million. This remnant will recognize Jesus as the Messiah and enter the Kingdom of God. Listen to the Apostle Paul as I close for today.
Romans 11:25-27 (KJV)
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
The Deliverer (notice capitalized) comes out of “Sion” which is Zion or the Church. Jesus is the head of the Church. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
