HELLS MOUTH REMAINS OPEN

Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God and welcome back to this empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Perhaps you have wondered why I keep saying “Bible Book of Isaiah” rather than “the Book of Isaiah”. There is an incredible ignorance of the Bible today, so in case one unlearned in the things of the Lord comes to this blog they know with clarity I am talking about the Bible, the Word of God, the only Truth in the earth, the only Truth anywhere. The beautiful picture featured today is once again provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible. Now, continuing to read aloud, let’s read our primary Bible text. We read aloud, yes, out loud for faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God, and it is impossible to please God without faith.
Isaiah 5:13-16 (KJV)
13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
Down through this Book of Isaiah God is speaking to His people about how they have gotten off the old paths, His ways, and have entered into captivity of the devil which is the reason for little and great troubles in their lives. Let me clear. Trouble comes to all of us, whether we let it in or not is our choice. We are to give no place to the devil. Sin makes a place for the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 (KJV)
27 Neither give place to the devil.
Remember Jesus said that giving the devil place gave him power over us.
John 14:30 (AMP)
30 I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]
The lies of the devil belong to him and if we believe those lies, we have something in common and he has a certain degree of power over us. Looking back at our primary text we see that when we chose captivity, the demons lie, Hell opens its mouth wide not only to perhaps receive us but those that go because of our poor witness and lack of effective work for the Kingdom of God. You are perhaps familiar with the following Scripture.
Revelation 7:17 (KJV)
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Isa 25:8, Rev 21:4)
I believe that one of the reasons God has to wipe our tears from our eyes is when we see clearly our failures and what it meant for other people. Others that went to Hell, or otherwise suffered in one way or another due to our lack of obedience. As we look at verse fifteen in our text, we see there is a day of humbling. Seems to me it would be smart to get ahead of the curve and humble ourselves right now before the Lord. In life and in the Kingdom of God there is no downside to humility or humbling oneself. When we quit exalting ourselves God will exalt us. Don’t you suppose He can do a much better job? Let’s take a trip back to First Peter.
1 Peter 5:5-7 (KJV)
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Lord willing, I will pick up with verse 16 of our primary text tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
