A WELL OF TRUTH
DO WE BELIEVE JOHN 14:12? – PART SEVEN
Greetings precious saints of the Almighty God, Partners, and friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to this Sunday series titled “A Well of Truth” currently focused on John 14:12. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. I am continuing with the teaching; “Do We Believe John 14:12?” now on Part Seven. I hope that many of you know this verse without having to look it up. It is a verse I have taught on and around for years. Are we listening to understand (spiritual hearing), receive, prove, believe, doubt not, and implement as led of the Holy Spirit? The command of John 14:12 is not evidenced in the Church for the most part either corporately or individually. This must change for me, for you, and for the Church (at least for the rising remnant). When a command of the Master, a command of Scripture, is not being obeyed we must repent, and ask why we are not in obedience. Disobedience or unbelief are both sin. Perhaps many don’t believe it is for them, perhaps we are willingly ignorant, or have other gods. Maybe we are not willing to do what is necessary to step into that level of responsibility and benefit. Now let’s review our focus verse, which is a command from the lips of the Master.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Let’s look at this verse in another Bible translation.
John 14:12 (AMP)
12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.
As we meditate on the King James Version and the Amplified Version of the Bible could we conclude that our not doing these things mean we do not believe, steadfastly believe? Look little children we have got to get serious with the Word of God and our walk with God. We have much work to do for the Kingdom of God, and we will answer for what we have and have not done. I for one want to stand before the Master beaming with excitement knowing in myself that I ran the race and finished the course. Little children there is no excuse for defeat in the day of temptation or the curse running rampant in our lives.
Thus far in this particular study we spent quite a lot of time on the idea that Jesus and the Father expect us to be just like Jesus and they have given us in abundance all that is needed to achieve that. To not think we can be just like Jesus was in His earthly ministry is a violation of Scripture, it is unbelief, it is sin. It is not enough to nod in ascent to what I am writing. We each have an obligation before our Heavenly Father to do whatever is necessary to line up with and become just as the Scripture commands. Remember, as He is (right now today) so are we in this world (right now today).
1 John 4:17 (KJV)
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (Bold added)
In order to be like Jesus, we are going to have to be like Jesus, that is do as He did. Our flesh isn’t going to like it, neither will your family, nor your friends including Church friends. Natural laws and spiritual laws work the same way 100% of the time which is why they are laws and not theories. Are you, am I, willing to abandon our ways to do all things His way? Let’s consider the following Scripture (not my conjectures).
John 14:10 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
So, whose Words was Jesus speaking in the earth? Were they His own? Who did the works (miracles)? Jesus operated as a man, not God (see Philippians 2:6-8), speaking what He heard of the Father (through the Holy Spirit).
John 5:19 (KJV)
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Jesus did not plan His own agenda and go as He thought best, but as the Father directed via the Holy Spirit. What about me, what about you? There are no qualifiers in these verses. Who thinks we can do way better in these essential areas?

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
