THE HOUSE FILLED WITH SMOKE

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and our study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. This is a wonderful and illuminating Book of Holy Scripture. The featured picture today was graciously provided by Bob and Kathy French, good friends and a man and woman of God. Thank you Bob and Kathy and I speak the Blessing over you in the name of Jesus. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry, the Truth. Our purpose is to not just bring things (thoughts, words, and actions) that are true to your attention but to bring Truth front and center. Prove everything by the Word of God, at least two witnesses, be a good Berean.
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Just because mamma and them, our Pastor, and everybody at our Church says something and believes a certain thing does not make it the Truth. Prove all things, be a good Berean! As I was pondering before the Lord what I would write this week as a preamble or Word from the Lord, He quickened me to the following passage. There is much to say about this but I will not say all today.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
For this passage to apply to any of us, we must answer the question, am I in Christ? Is Christ my Lord and Savior? I hope all of you were able to answer both questions in the affirmative without hesitation or doubt. Who is Christ? How can we translate or define the word ‘Christ’ further? The word Christ means Messiah, Anointed One, and/or Anointing depending upon context. Generally, we can safely see these as inseparable even though the Messiah and the Anointed One are Jesus and the Anointing is the Holy Spirit. To walk in righteousness, in eternal life, and to accomplish anything for the Kingdom of God, we are inseparable from Jesus, the Christ (Messiah), and the Anointing (Holy Spirit). If we are separated from them, we are spiritually dead, separated from God, and in the kingdom of darkness. More on this passage tomorrow. Now, lets turn our attention to our Isaiah text and continue reading aloud to build our faith.
Isaiah 6:3-7 (KJV)
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
We left off last week speaking about the seraphims that Isaiah saw in his vision of the Throne Room of Heaven and the Lord of Hosts (Jesus, the Word). This room like rooms on earth had at least one door for Isaiah saw the “posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried”. He saw that this ‘house’, this room, Throne Room or Chamber “was filled with smoke”. One might ask, “what is the smoke?” The smoke is the manifested presence of the Holy Spirit. We first see this same Hebrew word for smoke used in the following verse.
Genesis 15:17 (KJV)
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
Here God, the Father, is making Covenant not only with Abram and his seed but with the Messiah to come (Jesus the Word is the burning lamp) and the Holy Spirit (smoking furnace) Who enabled Jesus to do all He did and enables us to do all we must do.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
