QUICK UNDERSTANDING

Greetings precious children of God and welcome back to our study of the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the gospel (good news), the Truth. Thank you for sharing, you have a very important role in this Ministry. The featured picture today is of a group of Arabian (one hump) camels. Some years ago I always featured a camel picture on Wednesday (hump day) and thought it would be fun to return to that, at least for today.
On July 8, 2008, the Lord gave me the following: “In the presence of sin there is no authority and no Power, but where sin is absent there is all authority and Power in Jesus name.”
John 3:34-36 (KJV)
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. (Bold added)
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Has God sent us? Do we also in our obedience have the Spirit of God, enduement of Power, without limit? Examine the following passage. Jesus has just given His parting commands.
Mark 16:19-20 (KJV)
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Jesus had told them to preach the gospel, and when they did the Word was confirmed, not them, with signs following the giving of the Word. This is just like Jesus in His Ministry in the earth.
Luke 5:15 (KJV)
15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
So, what are we preaching? Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 11:1-3 (KJV)
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Let’s pick up our study focused on verse three. Let’s look at verse three in Young’s Literal Translation and the Complete Jewish Bible.
Isaiah 11:3 (YLT)
3 To refresh him in the fear of Jehovah, And by the sight of his eyes he judgeth not, Nor by the hearing of his ears decideth.
Isaiah 11:3 (CJB)
3 he will be inspired by fearing Adonai. He will not judge by what his eyes see or decide by what his ears hear,
We see here something about the humanity of Jesus. In fact, in the gospels, Jesus refers to Himself twice as much as the son of man as the Son of God. Even Jesus had to be reminded by the Holy Spirit to properly reverence, fear, and obey the Father.
Hebrews 5:7-9 (KJV)
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Jesus (“in the days of his flesh”) learned obedience and in that way was made perfect or complete. When this was done, He was able to accomplish the full purpose of His coming. Are we likewise learning by obedience and being made perfect or complete to accomplish our full mission?
