FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK SIXTY-FOUR
CHRISTIANS AND TRAGEDY – PART FIVE

Greeting dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this series examining the cause of Tragedy among Christians. This is not to be condemning but instructive so that we not be caught up in the devils’ web and likewise be devoured. Before I move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the gospel, the Truth. Thank you for sharing. You are important to this Ministry and the Kingdom of God. I have been teaching on understanding tragedy in other Christians and perhaps our own life. These tragedies may be sudden or slow. Sudden would be an unexpected premature death, supposed accident, or even being killed in one way or another (drunk driver, murder, etc.). Slow would include the myriad of diseases that are loose in the earth causing debilitation and premature death among Gods’ people. We will hear people say things like: “I just don’t understand it, they had so much faith, loved the Lord, and were such good people, good Christians.” The Truth is far from pretty but if we remain ignorant, we set ourselves up for the same. Let me remind you the following, hopefully, familiar Scripture.
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (Bold added)
Are we rejecting knowledge in favor of our traditions and doctrines of demons or perhaps we are slack? Dear children we are our own worst enemies by the thoughts of our hearts and the words of our mouths. Gods’ dear children don’t seem to know that their thoughts and the subsequent words spoken have framed their present world and their future. It is not all up to God; it is all up to you dear one. Think about the fate of the people that God brought out of bondage in Egypt but did not enter the promised land due to unbelief (Hebrews 3:15-19).
Proverbs 4:24 (KJV)
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Listen to the children of Israel after hearing the evil report from ten of the spies. They had the Word of the Lord that the land was already theirs but they choose to believe another word.
Numbers 14:1-3 (KJV)
1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Their words had significant consequences. Remember, Jesus is upholding all things (including our thoughts and words) by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3).
Numbers 14:28 (KJV)
28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: (Bold added)
Numbers 14:33-35 (KJV)
33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
These had a froward and perverse tongue. What about you and me? As I close for today, let’s hear the words of Jesus.
Luke 6:45 (KJV)
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Both the good man and the evil man are saved, which one are we, what are we producing in our lives? Sin brings the curse, brings tragedy both slow and sudden.
Lord willing, I will return next week with fresh lifechanging food.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
