WHERE ARE THE WISE MEN?

Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. As we delve into our Scripture teaching for today, please take a moment and share as widely as possible by all available means to expand our reach of the gospel. This gospel is the Truth for all peoples for all times. The featured picture today is of the Florida State Capitol building and serves as a reminder that we are commanded to pray for, intercede for all in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2). In addition, dear ones we are to honor those in authority and obey.
1 Peter 2:17 (KJV)
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
Titus 3:1 (KJV)
1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
These are really inconvenient Scriptures especially when we don’t like them or agree with them, don’t you think? Do you suppose there is some wiggle room in these commands? Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah and push forward in our study. Remember, you are reading out loud.
Isaiah 19:9-14 (KJV)
9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
14 The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
As you recognize this is the same text I ended with last Thursday. We will see what the Lord has to say to us from this text. Keep in mind and fully expect the Lord to bring revelation to you, specific for your need, your armaments, that is not in my writings. The Prophet Isaiah continues speaking by the unction of the Holy Spirit talking about Egypt. Keep in mind that Egypt, the king, and the people is representative (type and shadow) of any system of darkness. There are two families, two kingdoms in the earth. There is the Kingdom of God and His family and there is the kingdom of Satan and his family. Which kingdom am I in, are you in? Which kingdom rules your life (or whose laws/rules are we following)? Most if not all of you quickly replied “I’m in the Kingdom of God of course!” The pharisees of Jesus’ day said they were in the Kingdom of God as well, but were they? What is the fruit (Jesus said we would know them by their fruit) of my life, your life? Am I manifesting the Blessing or the curse in my life? This blog is not designed to leave us, me included, feeling all warm fuzzy and comfortable but to challenge us all on to great things in the Kingdom of God.
As we see in our text, those who have and are rejecting God with hardened hearts and stiff necks are called fools, not by me, by God through the Prophet Isaiah. Just think about it, we have all been there, but how stupid is it to reject God? Notice in verse fourteen that the Lord has allowed a perverse spirit (evil spirit) to bring them into the most disgusting of circumstances (look around America, the world today). What brought them to this point? The cardinal sin, Lucifers’ sin, Adam and Eves sin, pride. See what The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament says about the word ‘perverse’. It describes a deluded and misled Egyptian people. As people rebel against God there is a time when He turns them wholly over to their sin.
Romans 1:21-26 (KJV)
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
