BOSSING GOD AROUND
Greetings dear saints of God in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ and welcome back to “A Well of Truth”. Perhaps you looked at the title of todays study, rolled your eyes, and thought, the boy has lost it now. Just hold on, resist any agitation or desire to run for the pitchforks, tar, and feathers. That’s those evil religious spirits that work night and day to keep us in the traditions of men and their doctrines which are not only powerless but counterproductive. By the way there are no holy religious spirits. Religion is not of God; relationship is of God. Before I move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every available means. Thank you for sharing and filling a vital role in the dissemination of the gospel.
So, what do you think about bossing God around? When we look at the Thesaurus concerning the word ‘bossing’ the word commanding is at the top of the list. We tend to look at bosses and being bossed in a generally negative light. In reality doesn’t the Word of God ‘boss’ us around if we do what it says? Does the Lord ‘boss’ us around for our good, our building up, or for our destruction? We are freewill creations (sons) and decide to do or not to do. God will not make us do anything, the devil and other people can’t, only we decide. So, let’s get back to commanding or bossing the Lord around. As we go forward remember this is His idea not mine.
Isaiah 45:11 (KJV)
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
Command God to activate the Power of the Holy Spirit (Hand of God). Certainly, there must be some sort of translation error here with the command “concerning the work of my hands command ye me”. Who has authority in the earth? We do! If we don’t speak, loose the Word of God, the will of God, into the earth, it simply does not get done, at least not at that point. Search the Scripture dear ones.
Amos 3:7 (KJV)
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
This is God’s system. There cannot be real love, agape, without choice. Perhaps the Isaiah verse is an isolated verse poorly translated.
Job 22:28 (KJV)
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Who decrees a thing and it is established? We do! Who establishes it? God! Surely this can’t be right, I’m not bossing God around (really loosing the Blessing to do what He already wants to do). Jesus said that our Heavenly Father has given us the Kingdom so we are possessing and utilizing what is already ours to possess and utilize.
Luke 12:31-32 (KJV)
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Let’s consider a third witness of our authority to manage the Kingdom in the earth.
Psalm 8:4-6 (AMP)
4 What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?
5 Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet:
We have dominion (authority) over the work of the Holy Spirit. If we are not seeing supernatural events whose responsibility is that? You and me dear brothers and sister not the Lord. We are the sons of God, we are His voice in the earth, and that voice (according to His will) has no limitation of authority or what can be accomplished.
Lord willing, I will return with fresh Words from the Throne.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
