GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-THIRTY-EIGHT
ARMOR OF GOD – PART EIGHTY
SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – PART FIVE

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and thank you for rejoining The Three Minute Word blog. Please take a moment and share this teachings by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. As you know I have been teaching of the “Gifts” of God for some one hundred and thirty-eight weeks counting today and eighty weeks counting today on the “Armor of God”. As I said last week, I thought I was done with the sword of the Spirit but the Lord let me know I was not done. Since the “sword of the Spirit” is the Word of God, which is the whole Bible, I suppose one could go for a lifetime and not exhaust the topic. So, let’s take a moment and review our primary Bible text. By the way, there is no maximum on the number of times one should read any portion of Scripture. There is always more for the Holy Spirit to reveal to the ones with ears to hear. Be reminded to be reading out loud with ears to hear. You know why! Without faith we cannot be an overcomer (1 John 5:4) and it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6).
Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
There is nothing more important than what comes out of our mouths, nothing dear ones.
Psalm 138:1-3 (KJV)
1 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
Verse two is telling us that the spoken Word of God is paramount, above all His name. Just think of it. Notice in verse three that when we speak the Word of God, we can expect a speedy response. He, the Lord, is not just talking about a spouting of the Word without faith, love, and leadership of the Spirit. It is a little off our topic but let’s glance back to verse one in the passage above.
Psalm 138:1 (KJV)
1 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
Who are the gods? That is, you and I dear saints. Review Psalm 82 and John 10:34. We are created in the image and likeness of God, by His precious Seed, producing after its own kind. We are like our Heavenly Father not something else. We are not angels or some separate and distinct species. After all, is this not what Jesus is telling them and us in John the 10th chapter?
John 10:34-38 (KJV)
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Does this whole passage not apply to each born again Christian as well as to Jesus the first born from the dead? We are children (the born again) of the Most High God, born of incorruptible seed, the Word of God.
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
We are to operate in the earth just like our Father and just like our big Brother, Christ Jesus. Forget, rebuke, all that defeatism many are taught in Church, reinforced by the world which should be a great clue by itself. When the devil and his people encourage you to believe something about God it is a lie.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
