GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-FORTY-THREE
ARMOR OF GOD – PART EIGHTY-FIVE
PRAYING ALWAYS – PART THREE

Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God. The One who wants nothing but good for all peoples and has paid the price for abundant and eternal life for all. Unfortunately, many, the majority on the earth, chose to reject our good and loving God to serve lifeless idols and themselves. Thinking they are wise have become fools (Romans 1:20-22). Before moving into our primary lesson, I invite you to please take a moment and share this teaching by every means available to you thereby expanding our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. The Lord sees and rewards.
I have been teaching for quite some time on the “Gifts”, we, the children of God, receive of our loving (agape/agapeo) Heavenly Father God. Most recently, eighty-five weeks today, I have been teaching on the Armor of God. The Apostle Paul by the will of God, the Holy Spirit, has named seven pieces or aspects of this armor which is defensive and offensive. Remember this is far, far more than imaginary pieces of Roman armor but bodies of revelation knowledge that we exercise by faith, in love, absent doubt, in the name of Jesus, led of the Holy Spirit. This armor has no match, not even close.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
We are told we must be in Him, what is available in Him, who our real enemies are, and why the armor is necessary. He provides the armor but we must exercise this knowledge by faith, in love, free of doubt, in the name of Jesus, led of the Holy Spirit. I know I am repeating. There is far too much expectation in the body of Christ that God is doing everything for us. We hear exclaimed that He is in control (biggest lie of the enemy which keeps the individual and the Church in bondage/defeat), we don’t understand it but He is working things to our good, and we just need to keep begging. These are all demonic lies and the traditions of men which are absent the Power of God. Now, once again let us look at what is available to us, what we have been commanded to exercise on our own behalf and that of the Kingdom of God.
Ephesians 6:14-17 (KJV)
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Verse eighteen introduces us to the seventh piece of the armor of God which is prayer. Seven is the number of spiritual completion.
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Notice He separates prayer and supplication. Last week I introduced some other Scriptures (1 Timothy 2:1, and 1 John 5:14-15). For the purpose of this study, I will focus on our primary text, verse eighteen. First, let’s look at another translation of the Bible.
Ephesians 6:18 (AMP)
18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).
I think we can see here that the “praying always” and “in the Spirit” are linked together and this is true in multiple other Bible translations. Praying in the Spirit first of all is being led of the Holy Spirit. It also is pointing the critical role of praying in the Spirit which is praying the perfect will of God in our prayer language (tongues) received with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:26-27 (KJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
