GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-FORTY-TWO
ARMOR OF GOD – PART EIGHTY-FOUR
PRAYING ALWAYS – PART TWO

Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God. The One who wants nothing but good for all peoples and has paid the price for abundant and eternal life for all. Unfortunately, many, the majority on the earth, chose to reject our good God and serve lifeless idols and themselves. Thinking they are wise have become fools (Romans 1:20-22). Before moving into our primary lesson please take a moment and share this teaching by every means available to you thereby expanding our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. The Lord sees and rewards.
I have been teaching for quite some time on the “Gifts” we, the children of God, receive of our loving (agape/agapeo) Heavenly Father God. Most recently, eighty-four weeks today, I have been teaching on the Armor of God. The Apostle Paul by the will of God, the Holy Spirit, has named seven pieces or aspects of this armor which is defensive and offensive. Remember this is far, far more than imaginary pieces of Roman armor but bodies of revelation knowledge that we exercise by faith, in love, absent doubt, in the name of Jesus, led of the Holy Spirit. This armor has no match, not even close.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Notice from verse ten above that we are “strong in the Lord” not in ourselves, and “in the power of his might”, not our might. We must be the willing and obedient vessel through which He can flow unhindered. We are only strong so long as we are leaning with our whole being upon Him. Only in this position can He flow in and through us. We are very prone to put our troubles on flesh and blood, and of course many times people are involved but only as led, deceived of the demons. It is the devils behind the people that we must exercise our authority over and release the Power of God against all the while interceding for the people. Let’s review the six pieces of armor we have discussed to date.
Ephesians 6:14-17 (KJV)
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Verse eighteen introduces us to the seventh piece of the armor of God which is prayer. Prayer is not begging.
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Notice He separates prayer and supplication. First let’s look at another Scripture somewhat similar to this one.
1 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
Now, we see not only prayer and supplications, but intercessions, and the giving of thanks. In the following Scripture we find a type of prayer referred to as a petition.
1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday, my birthday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
