AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

WE HAVE THIS ASSURANCE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take few moments and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. You are a blessing to this Ministry. You have a very important part to play in expanding our reach with the good news. There is no news, absolutely no news, near as good as the Word of God. The featured picture today is of Donna and me at a local steakhouse last Thanksgiving. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and continue reading out loud. You don’t have to read my words out loud although it will help you understand but always read the Bible texts out loud.
Isaiah 26:19-21 (TLB)
19 Yet we have this assurance: Those who belong to God shall live again. Their bodies shall rise again! Those who dwell in the dust shall awake and sing for joy! For God’s light of life will fall like dew upon them!
20 Go home, my people, and lock the doors! Hide for a little while until the Lord’s wrath against your enemies has passed.
21 Look! The Lord is coming from the heavens to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will no longer hide the murderers. The guilty will be found.
Now we have clearly switched from a remembering, reminiscing, lamenting, to a wonderful prophetic picture (for us the redeemed) of the future. Remember Jesus is the resurrection and the life!
John 11:25 (KJV)
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Verse nineteen, the verse of faith is speaking of the resurrection of our physical bodies sown in corruption but raised incorruptible.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (KJV)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
This new body is going to be just like that of the Lord Jesus.
Philippians 3:20-21 (KJV)
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
My goodness, what a day! Next our Isaiah passage shifts to the Tribulation period. We will be in Heaven (home) with the door locked at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in the time of wrath upon the earth. A day of full judgment, a declaration not only of guilt, but fulness of the consequences. I believe there are two aspects of this which we see in the following passages.
Revelation 19:11-14 (KJV)
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
This passage and many verses which follow have to do with the Second Coming (not the Catching Away) and the setting up of the Millennial Reign of Christ. The next passage has to do with the final judgement after the Millennial Reign when Satan has been loosed and again deceives the nations. At this point the angelic forces including Satan have been dealt with and now the people who rebelled against God are being judged for the final time.
Revelation 20:11-15 (KJV)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Sadly, none of these will be found written in the book of life.
Lord willing, I will pick up with Isaiah chapter 27 next week. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
