AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK EIGHTY-NINE
SON – AMBASSADOR – HEIR – PART ELEVEN
Greetings dear sons (and daughters), ambassadors, and joint-heirs of the Kingdom of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber. Today I will be picking up with part eleven of the current series concerning sons, ambassadors, and joint-heirs in Christ. Before we move forward, please take a moment to share todays teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing, that is so important in expanding our reach with the good news. Now let’s move to our primary Bible text for this series reading out loud.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Today I will be moving forward into verse twenty of our primary text and exploring the idea of being an ambassador. In verse eighteen we see that we all have a ministry and that ministry in part is that of reconciliation. This ministry of reconciliation is to bring restoration into people’s lives saved and unsaved. When I say, ministry in part, we must understand that each of us have many parts to what God has called us to do. To perhaps understand this better think of yourself and the various functions you have in life. Perhaps you are a wife or husband but you don’t have just one thing you do as a wife or husband there are many facets or functions of a husband or wife. Same with the many other roles in our lives, and our ministry.
There is something I believe I need to address while I am on this general subject. We tend to separate our lives or segment our lives as if one aspect has nothing to do with the other. It is all one life and in reality, it is all interrelated and to be done to the glory (to show the goodness) of God. Our employment is to be done as unto the Lord, the same with our marriage, our relationship with our children and others. How we do our job, our marriage, is every bit as important to the Lord as how we pray for people or minister to people in many other ways. Everything we do is to be done in faith for whatever is not of faith is sin, and the power of faith is love (agape). This is faith in God, and our focus is to be on God and people. How can we meet peoples needs in every part of our lives for the glory of God.
An ambassador is the highest ranking official from the sending government to the receiving government. This would exclude the President for example in a natural government. For example, the United States has an ambassador to France. Suppose for whatever reason the President sends a four-star general to France for some sort of consultations, the Ambassador outranks the four-star general in this setting. In this example, the President represents Jesus, the four-star General is an angel, and we are the ambassadors.
We are these ambassadors sent from Heaven by Jesus into the earth to administer the Kingdom of God in the earth under Jesus’ leadership. We are also to reconcile those outside the Kingdom to God the Father (the Supreme Ruler). Who else is in the earth from Heaven? The Holy Spirit is in the earth, the holy angels, and devils. However, as Gods’ ambassadors to the earth we are the governing authority over all of these. We don’t outrank the Holy Spirit of course, He is as much God as Jesus, as the Father. However, the Holy Spirit does not act independently of a man (human). We are however seated far above (outrank) holy angels of all types and the demons including Satan himself are so far under our feet it isn’t even funny.
I hope that all of us, me included, are getting this study down in our hearts and it is revelation not just interesting information. This is paramount for we must walk this out in unwavering faith, filled with love, led of the Holy Spirit, directed of our Lord, our Commander in Chief, Jesus the Christ.
Lord willing, I will pick up next week with the idea, the reality, of being a joint-heir, a participant in common with Jesus. Don’t forget, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
