FRIDAY NUGGETS
THE MIND OF CHRIST – PART THREE

Greetings dear and precious friends, partners, and children of God the Father. Welcome back to Friday Nuggets and the topic of The Mind of Christ – Part Three. Classically the mind is a part of our soul, part of our spirit man, along with our emotions, and will. Some include the intellect as well but it seems to me that is part and parcel of the mind, the central processing center of our thoughts (conscious and subconscious). Before I proceed, please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible using every means at your disposal. Thank you for sharing. Those who share and partner with us have a very important role in this Ministry and in fulfilling the role of a son in the Kingdom of God. Recently in a conversation with a friend, a man of God, the topic of the “mind of Christ” came up. Many say that we don’t have, in fact cannot have the “mind of Christ” and start quoting (in part) from Isaiah. Consider the following verse continuing to read out loud.
1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
This verse seems to clearly say that we have the mind (the thoughts) of Christ (Anointed One, Messiah, Holy Spirit). If we develop our mind to be exactly like Christ, not only will we think like Him, but we will talk like Him, and we will do like Him. That is the goal you know. Please don’t go apoplectic. We are reading from the Bible. Now, let’s go to Isaiah and examine what I think for many will be a familiar passage.
Isaiah 55:6-11 (KJV)
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Today, Lord willing, I will finish for now, this study. You know, no study is ever finished, the Word of God has infinite depth. As we continue into verses ten and eleven of our primary text let us not think the Apostle Paul has changed topics. He is still talking about us having the mind of Christ, the thoughts and ways of the Lord. Remember, we are in the image and likeness of God, we are to imitate, operate just like Him. The Heavenly Father in mercy not only sent a Redeemer but One who was to be the first Son showing the way for all the sons to follow (you and me included). Jesus was the Prototype so to speak. Verses ten and eleven tell us that the Words of God (snow and rain) bring a harvest and does not return unproductive. Well, what about us created in His image and likeness to operate just like Him?
Matthew 12:35-37 (KJV)
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
According to Jesus we are either going to bring forth good things (His Words), evil things (other words), or idle words which are nonproductive for they are not spoken in faith. We were not designed to speak and not produce. We are designed to create as we speak just like the Father, just like Jesus. Another example and we are done.
Mark 11:22-24 (KJV)
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Nothing good happens until we speak to the mountain with faith in God. We don’t ask (plead, beg) God to do it (like Paul and the throne in the flesh) but we speak to it and it will be done for us. We have to believe we have received before the physical manifestation. Did Jesus, our example, ever ask the Father to do anything or did He speak to it with faith in the Father that the Father would back His Words? The answer is no he did not ask, He commanded just as we are to do.
Lord willing, I will return next Friday with fresh Nuggets from the Throne of God.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
