FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER
DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS – PART FIFTEEN

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber and the topic Do All His Commands. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. In the featured picture I am teaching at Faith Chapel in Pennington Texas. A precious group of people. Please be sure you are reading out loud.
This teaching is designed to establish the vital importance of obeying the commands of God, the Words of God and no other words. Of course, these commands must be obeyed by a willing heart, in faith, and in love (agapē/agapaō). We are fully empowered to keep His commandments.
Philippians 2:12-15 (HCSB)
12 So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God who is working in you, ⌊enabling you⌋ both to desire and to work out His good purpose. (Bold added)
14 Do everything without grumbling and arguing,
15 so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world.
The whole of Scripture speaks of the absolute necessity of walking obedient to Scripture. The preceding passage like so many others give us vital information about walking His path. We claim to know these things but do our lives give evidence of this obedience, the fruit of obedience. These fruit are spelled out in Deuteronomy 28, the first fourteen verses. Our hearts need to always be evaluating if we are doing things His way or our way.
Now, let’s jump into our primary Bible text once again. Be sure you are reading out loud.
Deuteronomy 28:6-9 (KJV)
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
Remember the Blessing is the empowerment from God, the Anointing, to prosper in submission to Him. Today let’s focus in on verse seven. Without the full counsel of Scripture or considering the first verse of this chapter one might think they can just lay up in the Lazy Boy chair and God will automatically take care of it. We like to talk about and sing about God fighting our battles but that is not the Truth. Dear ones, children of God, we always have a part. Our part always comes before His part. Remember when the children of Israel had left Egypt and they are pinned by the Red Sea and Moses says the following.
Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
What if they had not held their peace? Consider this episode with king Jehoshaphat.
2 Chronicles 20:17 (KJV)
17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
What if they did not set themselves, stand still, got into fear, or confused? Sometimes our part is not dramatic on the outside but it sure is on the inside. Now, let’s look at a passage with the Master speaking and addressing this issue, the sequence of our part and God’s part.
John 14:9-12 (KJV)
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
The Father is in us as well by way of the Holy Spirit. What if Jesus did not, or what if we are not saying the Words of the Father? In this submitted obedient state the Heavenly Father will be free to work in us and through us.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (Bold added)
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
