Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our delightful study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Book and what a loving God to give us insights, a lamp for our feet. Before moving forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is of a beautiful cardinal taking a bath and is provided by Marilyn Stevens who takes wonderful bird and other wildlife pictures. Thank you so much Marilyn for the beautiful pictures.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:17-19 (KJV)
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
Today I will continue to talk about the salvation of Israel with an everlasting salvation, world without end just like the Church. Both are by the precious Blood of Jesus, Jew and Gentile alike. I am amazed and saddened by how little discussion there is in the Church about Israel. We, the Church, we Christians, have an obligation to honor Israel. Consider this, the whole Bible is written by Jews, about Jews and it is all for the learning of all peoples. Every week pulpits are filled with ministers preaching from the Holy Scripture and rightly so with not one mention of honoring the human source. Consider the following Scriptures.
Psalm 122:6-9 (KJV)
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
When was the last time you heard a ministry leader encourage you and others to pray for Jerusalem and declare the fruit of that obedience?
Romans 15:27 (KJV)
27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
Are we indeed debtors to the Jewish people? Are we indeed partakers of their spiritual things? Are you ministering to them in your carnal (money and other treasure) things? We will be spending a lot of time in the 11th chapter of Romans. I realize this is a little bit of a sidestep from the Book of Isaiah but it seems this is what the Lord wants me to do. Israel, the Jews are not our god but we owe them a powerful debt for through them call the whole of Scripture and THE Savior.
Romans 10:19-21 (KJV)
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
The Lord through the Apostle Paul is speaking to Israel and the Church (“them that are no people”). Consider the following, which is what Paul is referencing in verse twenty.
Isaiah 65:1-7 (KJV)
1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
