Greetings dear friends and saints of God and welcome back to this engaging study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. If you are not a saint become one right now, believe in your heart that the Father raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth that He is Lord (one of highest authority in ALL arenas of your life). Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is of a part of my home town from many (I mean many) years ago. Brings back many wonderful memories.
I want to take a moment to remind you of my most recent book publications which will make wonderful gifts for yourself and other in your circle. Both are available in softcover, eBook, and audible. Don’t delay, order today at https://www.amazon/books and search by title or my name.

Now, let’s turn our attention, continuing to read out loud, to our primary Bible text in the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Today the text is presented in the English Standard Version. This version of the Bible is a word for word translation, published in 2001, at an 8th grade reading level. For your information Rose Publishing produces many wonderful tools and among them is a pamphlet titled “Bible Translations Comparison”.
Isaiah 47:8-11 (ESV)
8 Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children”:
9 These two things shall come to you in a moment, in one day; the loss of children and widowhood shall come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and the great power of your enchantments.
10 You felt secure in your wickedness, you said, “No one sees me”; your wisdom and your knowledge led you astray, and you said in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.”
11 But evil shall come upon you, which you will not know how to charm away; disaster shall fall upon you, for which you will not be able to atone; and ruin shall come upon you suddenly, of which you know nothing.
Do we treat God as a natural man? God forbid! Do we, saint and sinner alike believe that our thoughts are our own and that no one knows them but us? Listen to the Prophet Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 (KJV)
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Did you notice in verse ten above that thinking and doing are the same in the eyes of God? The heart including our mind, the center of our chosen thought life. With that in mind consider the following passage.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
The pride and utter ignorance of verse ten (primary text) is unparalleled except by Lucifer leading to his very hard fall.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
