ARE YOU GIVING UP YOUR LIFE OR IS IT BEING TAKEN FROM YOU?

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and a continuation of the special teaching titled “Mechanisms of Death”. This has turned into a somewhat longer study than I intended but here we are. Even so, it is not exhaustive, but I believe contains what the Lord wanted me to say in this teaching. In the past I have been encouraged to include more of my medical knowledge and experience with these spiritual teachings. I am a mostly retired Internal Medicine Physician but have two state medical licenses and keep current with my Continuing Medical Education. As you read the gospels Jesus used natural things all the time to illuminate spiritual Truths. Here is how the Apostle Paul by the unction of the Holy Spirit said it.
Romans 1:20 (KJV)
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
It was never the will of God and never will be the will of God for His children to be corrupted in any way much less suffer death of the spirit or body. We were made in His image and likeness to be perfect and pure like them and to function just like them. In this teaching thus far, I have established that the thoughts we believe, the words we believe have everything to do with eternal life, the health of our bodies, and the condition of our lives.
I will now move into the area of confounders. A confounder is a bias or a variable that distorts the relationship between things. For example, ignition devices like matches and lighters are used to light cigarettes they are not associated with lung cancer. Cigarettes are a major cause of lung cancer, not lighters etc. In medical research, the researchers try to account for confounders to arrive at the true answer. In medical studies, confounders they attempt to account for, are other conditions (co-morbidities), medications, diet, race, and so on. You may see the results of studies reported that conflict with prior studies and even back and forth. An example is the question of estrogen replacement therapy and breast cancer, another is the question of whether coffee is good or harmful. You can find study results on both sides of the question from equally good and honest sources. Why? It seems to me that the greatest confounder of all that cannot be measured is what is in a person’s heart. What is in the heart of the study population and the researchers. That is to say, their thought life, what they believe whether spoken or not. Remember the (a) portion of this verse.
Proverbs 23:7 (AMP)
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost].
Now I want to look the “silver cord” as it is called in Scripture. This the connection between the spirit of man and the material part of man (the physical body).
Ecclesiastes 12:6 (KJV)
6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Without this connection of our spirit and physical body the body ceases to be alive.
James 2:26 (KJV)
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Perhaps you have seen testimonies of “near death” experiences and they were aware of this connection between their spirit outside the body and the body. This is broken at the point of death. Medical science has the ability to maintain a body artificially on life support for a time, but the spirit is gone. I had patients in my practice that were receiving various life support measures, but I knew they were gone, and they were not coming back or waking up. I heard of one case where the family of a man of God kept him on life support for a few days in case he wanted to come back. Are you kidding me? If a person has gone to Heaven, do you think they are wishing to come back?
One last issue and we are done with this teaching. The silver cord can be broken from the physical or spiritual side. From the physical side it is when the body for any number of reasons ceases to function or has a disruption of an essential function. The silver cord is broken on the spiritual side when the individual gives up the ghost or their spirit man. I know of no one that by faith with the permission of Heaven gave up the ghost (their spirit) and went on to Heaven, however, there are several examples in Scripture (Stephen Acts 7:59, Jesus John 19:30, Abraham Genesis 25:8, Ishmael Genesis 25:17, Isaac Genesis 35:29, and Jacob Genesis 49:33). In each case there life was about to be taken but they would rather choose to leave. Like Jesus said, no man takes my life, I lay it down. So, the two mechanisms of death are having life taken from us or giving up our life. One is a victory for the enemy, the other a victory for our authority over the final enemy death.
In way to many cases trauma or sickness sends us out of this life and not by our choice or the choice of Heaven when our race is run. Most people leave, are not called, leaving much undone. The Father will receive you, but you quit early. Why? The thoughts of your heart and the words of your mouth. Going our own way ignoring the voice of Heaven.
TAKE HOME:
- Many do not leave by choice when their race is run but have their lives taken from them due to their thoughts and words.
- A major confounder in every life is the question of what is going on in their imaginations, their thoughts that they believe but perhaps do not utter. Of course, in time it is evident to all if they understand spiritual law.
- The silver cord sustains the life of the physical body. When the silver cord is broken either by the choice of the spirit man or a vital physical malfunction the physical body dies.
Lord willing, I will resume right here with fresh insights from the Throne of God. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
